Hey guys, I am wanting to race the 2020 Baja 1000, and do it solo in the ironman class. I have never raced in Baja, and the idea of doing it solo is a really attracting challenge to me.
So, I am looking for some of you that have experience in Baja, to please give me some advice on which team or riders I could contact, to rent a competitive bike and have all the logistics done. From what I have read, you need a good pit team during the race and a good team to take you pre running.
Once I'm on the bike , that should be the fun part. All that needs to goes on before, maybe not so much. ;)
    All advice is welcome!

You should contact Tim Morton at Bajaboundmoto ( https://www.bajaboundmoto.com/ ). They can set you up with anything and everything you will need. Tim and his wife Jen are good people and know Baja inside and out. plus they have a 100% finishing record for their race support.

Tim Morton/Baja Bound is your man. I don't think there is anyone out here with more experience with logistics, set up, pre-running, or race day support.

    Hola amigos!
I made contact with the foks at Monkey Business Team, and got a good deal to race on a KTM 500 . I will be racing the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 in the ironman class... should be a nice way to enjoy 12 hours and 24 hours of riding ;)
I am excited as this will be a new type of racing for me, but I am sure all the kilometers racing rallies will also help.
Will anybody else from ADVRIDER be racing baja?
All and any advice from past baja racers is welcome!

370x Francisco Septien of Moto Garage 730 Ensenada where I always bring my bike for pre-race prep, former B1K Ironman winner. !buena suerte amigo! see you in April.

It's Marks race. What a great guy! I was helping with the Sonora Rally and on the last day he was running second to Ricky. I was up in the dunes as the fuel stop. When Mark came in he fueled up and then went back into the dunes with fuel for Andrew Short who had run out of fuel a couple of miles back. Mark is a class act.

If you guys have time, how many riders are in your teams? What sections will you be racing? It's cool following knowing where the rider handoff sections are. Good Luck chavo_dakar_bolivia & EZ300!!!

-Super! we'll be watching -> 522x on from 470'ish to 605'ish. Thanks for the pics!
-Also following 100x Team Francisco Beltran of Ensenada on a YZ250. I love the 2-strokes & Tim Morton says these guys are great, I'm in.
-725x What's happening with chavo_dakar_bolivia team? Sorry for running with your thread but This Is It, 'The Baja 1000 Thread' for now anyway.
-370x Francisco Septien of Moto Garage 730 Ensenada, former B1K Ironman winner. Always fun to follow.
-1x Colton Udall / Mark Samuels team, both unreal fast and should be favored to win!~
-1954 I saw Kristen Matlock's interview yesterday, now a fan. Ironman woman on a factory RZR who kicked butt in the Baja 500.
I cannot imagine the intensity going on in all the racers heads right now. Prerunning is done, the rider handoff sections are defined and staging plans are made. 'Focus' 'Relax' 'Fuel & Hydrate' How freaking cool.

1x started 1 minute ahead of the 66x bike and 2.5 minutes ahead of the 370x bike.

66 has NOT passed the 1x, regardless of what the tracking has said.

It has been a consistent 2 minute gap with 1x leading
