Id imagine Italy but cool bikes are cool bikes and translations can be misleading. Family feeling as regarding the bigger enduros they make. Boopity boopity!

The new ass puffer has me most excited, but it all look good. Good enough to displace a GPX is another question.

I actually thought the last 125 was loads of fun on the trail, I could just fling it around and flog it with reckless abandon.

Some of the first riding Euro impressions are just beginning to pop up on YouTube. Quite interested in this lite little beastie for dual sport type trail riding for the whole family. It looks light enough that everyone could ride it. That's a plus. Hopefully it will make it to the USA market. :lurk

    :muutt

Yeah, there's likely no way the kids, young teenagers or the wifey are riding the full on race bikes. Not for long anyway.

    Can you translate that? :hmmmmm

Exactly. Not much will be able to stay with this thing in the tight woods.

    Dafuq does this mean?

    CBS combined brake system

If it means what it means on street bikes, that needs to go.

That link pulls up a manual for the 2019 model, with the carburetor. The big deal is the fuel injection, and maybe the variable valve timing. Will that give the motor good response across the rev range, or at least better than the carbureted version which suffered from a lazy low RPM engine response? Dropping the carb size from 30mm to 26mm (and going from a CVK to a direct action round slide) helped my bike out a lot but I wonder: if Beta specs a 30mm throttle body (if that's the right way to describe it) will the low end throttle response improve just by virtue of being FI? I don't know but I hope so. The motor has a lot of kick to it with a proper induction set up. It would be a shame if Beta seeks to broaden the appeal of the bike for newbies by neutering the motor, making it more "user friendly".

Edit - It is true, however, that Beta has to deal with engine power limitations and emission regulations imposed by the EU, such as I understand it.

What a weird idea on a bike that doesn't have ABS. Because think about it, you could only brake until whichever tire had less traction at the moment was about to slide.

That's the off road 2 stroke model. Different bike.

Ooops. That's the page the Beta website https://www.betamotor.com/en/moto/rr-enduro-125-lc/ currently has linked. There's a brochure there too, but it doesn't give as many tech details as the page. Maybe when the Italians get back from Summer break they'll notice it.

Just a suggestion for a more grin inducing Beta 125. :-)

Here's the page with all of the Beta Owner manuals.

    https://www.betamotor.com/en/manuals/

For the new 2021 Beta 125 LC RR...

You'll need to click on Enduro icon on the left. Then on RR 125 4T LC (2021) further down. It was just posted July 21, 2021.

It's available in half a dozen languages, the last one on the bottom being English. All 71 pages too. The technical specs look promising.

Yea, we love our little Beta, way more fun off road than my big KTM (for the technical stiff). Overall, our decision to buy one was ride height: only dual sport street legal option for my 'less than tall' girlfriend.

As long as the size doesnt increase, we would seriously consider a new FI version if it ever makes it to the States. UNlikely, for it's really designed for the restricted license group in europe.

I think they might bring it in. When I talked to the guy at BetaUSA I got the impression that they passed on the first year of EFI because it was introduced fairly late in the year and they had to make a snap decision as to whether to import it or not. They chose to wait. Hopefully we'll see it in the 2023 model lineup.
