These have proven to be very substantial.

Yes. That’s the one that buckled and bent the frame. I weigh 195, by the way.

View attachment 3228083 I know there’s not much detail. The billet stand itself didn’t bend of course, it was the housing which attaches to the frame

The end of riding season/beginning of upgrade/maintenance season is approaching...super happy with this machine and can't wait to make it even better! Wife's bike is pretty sweet too (250 EXC-F). IMG_2006.jpeg IMG_2011.jpeg IMG_2013.jpeg IMG_4670.jpeg

I am stoked it is cooling off enough to start riding instead of boating all of the time...Need to install a clutch rebuild kit, then get out riding finally!

Are there some places in the keys to really ride? I’d love to see!

It's probably the best "readily available" seat for our bikes, without having to wait

    months for a custom seat.

Not at all...Hit the mainland and head to Croom or Ocalla National Forest, get in some sand riding. There is actually some trails in between homestead and Key Largo. Never seen more mosquitos! BAD riding

Love it! I’ve done a bunch of 6-7 hour days in the desert on it and it’s not an issue. More comfortable than my 790 with the PP tall seat and doesn’t get in the way when I’m standing.

Has anyone had the IMS 4.5 gal tank effect their cooling in tight single track? Does you fan come on more often. It looks like its design can effect the air cooling flow.

It actually flows a lot of air. I haven't noticed the fan coming on anymore than it did stock.

Has anyone tried the HDB Ultimate Hand-guards on the 500 EXC with a BRP Submount and using the BRP Hand guard Mounts as the attachment for the HDB guards? Just trying to see if that setup will work, BRP doesn't explicitly state that it will or won't.

"Our hand guard mounts fit all 1 1/8″ handle bars with bar mount spacing from 38 – 41mm. They will NOT fit Husqvarna models with 53mm bolt spacing. Our hand guard mounts work best with: Cycra Pro-Bend, Cycra Composite, Enduro Engineering, Acerbis, Moose & MSR Hand Guards. They will NOT work with Fast-way hand guards."

    Any help is appreciated!

Stock ktm spark plug wrench ? For decades I have thought the stock tools were very good quality. Used my 21 500 plug wrench today just to look and the plug wrench quality is pretty crap. 13 box end tweaked the body of the plug wrench and deformed the flats so much that I put the box end in a vice and tapped it out with a pin punch. Plug was normal tight. Anybody else experience this? I am glad I found this before I actually have to use it.
