That grey would be great as replacement plastics without the graphics imo.

New bike. Prepping it for a camping trip. Lost about 150 pounds by trading my Super Adventure T on this! Loving it so far.

Added a PP seat, my trusty Kriega fork seal socks, Tripleclamp Headbrace, racks, Altrider side stand foot, center stand, double take mirrors, heated grips, my old Blackdog pegs from the 1290, all the electronics enabled, and have a GIVI airflow for longer hauls.

I’ve also got a Rottweiler power plate and Guglatech air filter on the way. I would have pulled my old Guglatech filter if I’d realized it would fit the new bike.
I really appreciate that KTM reuses air filters, pegs, oil filters, etc across the big bike line. It’s nice not to have to buy all new farkles every time you upgrade to a new ride.

The 890 R reminds me a little of my old BMW TR650 on steroids. Better in very way, but a similarly versatile machine. I’ve read a number of posts in this 790/890 part of forum. Looking forward to learning more from the community.

This bike turns in much faster and has more cornering clearance than the 1290sat. U will need to use more throttle to hold the line. I really appreciate the weight loss in the twisties!

I use the wind screen from the 890s, with a deflector, for protection. It provides one of the best wind protection bubbles I have ever had. Better than the 1290sat. I am 6’5’’.

    Have fun

Been doing a good bit of searching but can’t find the answer. Is there a way to completely disable ABS, or is the only option on road ABS and Offroad ABS?

KTM removed that ability on the 890.
Only can switch abs between onroad and offroad with electronics.
I imagine pulling the abs fuse would still work to shut the system down completely, but have actually tried.

According to other owners as well as the owners manual it is true. KTM did away with the ABS off option on the 890 ADV & ADVR At least on the US models. Perhaps different in different countries. It was a PITA to use anyway since it reset on an ignition cycle if it was turned off, even worse, it reset to ABS on road if it was previously disabled.

Luckily the ABS off road mode is actually pretty dang good. If someone want to disable it though they'll have to pull a fuse, remove the rear ABS ring, or pull the rear sensor away from the wheel.

I don't like that when you go off-road mode and enable rally mode, after disabling rally it goes back to road mode and not to previous mode (off-road)

And it would be cool to pair the off-road riding mode with the off-road abs and change abs automatically with the driving mode instead of doing manually

Is there any dashboard/screen protection for the ktm's to buy ? I feel that my dashboard often gets dirty/dusty and when I wipe it with a clean cloth or something nearby it's easy to scratch.

I cut two from a unused tablet screen protector I had. I need to see if I can hunt up the other one I made. The first one got so ratty after awhile that I peeled it off.

Have anyone tried these Speedo-angels screen protector ? I can see that they got both a plexiglass and a pure plastic variant.
