Some more lead up info to set the scene... the BETA, Yamaha and Kawasaki factory squads for 2021 in MX1 and MX2.
many of the euro's private training tracks are badass...
Four-times world champ Jeffrey Herlings made his racing comeback eight months since he damaged his neck in Italy last year, but faced tough competition from factory Yamaha MXGP rookie Ben Watson and a host of home-grown talent in round two of the Revo ACU British motocross championship. After more than a year with no spectators at UK racing, the gates were thrown open to a sell-out crowd of 4000 fans. They packed into the historic old-school Lyng circuit to see riders like Tommy Searle, Evgeny Bobryshev, Liam Everts, Conrad Mewse, Dylan Walsh and Adam Sterry. Plus some of the top youth and women racers in Britain who went all-out for glory.
Just watched the British MXGP. Kick ass race. Dudes are Faaaast.
Yeah and the legend Cairoli grabs another overall , 35 years old ? Nice track and MX2 was good too ! Here is the highlight recaps...
Cairoli was hauling the mail. Love that track.
British GP was a great race. Good job by Febvre holding off Geisler for as long as he did. Old man Cairoli was on a mission.
Yes it was.
^^^ THAT was an exhibition of simply awesome racecraft and raw speed/skill from two pro's at the absolute pinacle of their game's - on a track that offered multiple lines and passing opportunities. Great stuff all round.
Maggiora Domani. Cairolli vittoria?
Bruto fortuno......nessuno vittoria Antonio
Is Herlings back?...Not sure he has anything for Gajser (or others) on a dry track yet though. Will be interesting to see if he gets his old speed back eventually.
The points at the front are closer now and should be fun to watch the rest of the year... The last moto mudder was kinda slippery
Can Herlings catch a break? https://www.tmxnews.co.uk/news/motocross/mxgp/mxgp-oss-results-2021-netherlands/
Ouch, gets landed on , breaks his shoulder blade and still wins the first moto ? That is one tough racer... Cruel sport sometimes right ?
When I watched the first moto highlights, I said "great, looks like he's getting back his old speed" I was really wanting to see him and Gajser go at it. He's got Ken Roczen luck.
Check out Lisa Leyland definitely the best MX commentator ever. She knows MX.
