North Central Washington Weekend Ride -
    June 19-20 (Fathers Day weekend)

The last couple years we had a good time so I figure we'll give it another shot. Last year most folks didn't ride the route so I'm recycling it. Ride it for the first time, or again, or backwards, or pick one of the past routes.

There are campgrounds within 5-20 minutes from where the route starts/ends each day.

This ride will be like last year, big bike friendly with some 2 track.

No cost, no obligations, no guarantees. This is not a guided ride. You are your own support, rescue, recovery and navigation. I'm not liable for anything.

I need to stress that you should have a GPS or smart phone with the tracks on it.

    Video from 2019:

    Video from last year:

    A note about The 'Rona:
-Around here locals are acting pretty much like life is normal.
-Everyone is welcome to camp on our property. If you're staying at my place you're staying outta the house. We'll get a Portapotty and put up some chairs in the open air.
-Just like always, everyone manages their own risk. If you're in a high risk category, you should probably stay home, but if a life without group rides just isn't worth living, then you do you booboo!
-Campgrounds are listed below if you want to avoid the crowds

This year we'll ride an ATV route... here is a video of that ATV ride yesterday.

    Places to camp/stay:

Option #1: Lyman Lake camp ground - nice small, free camp. No potable water. -Lyman Lake campground is unlocked/open and the bathrooms are open.

    Option #2: Aeneas Springs
-Aeneas Springs. It is on a stream, with camp tables and fire rings and a vault toilet. I will upload a GPS point for this campground, it is near the route start and quite nice.

    Option #3: Bonaparte Lake Campground
Larger campground. $12 per night. Water, some sites have power (?) and its next to Bonaparte Lake Resort.
Call the Tonasket Ranger District at 509 486-2186 to see if it is open due to Corona Virus.

    Option #4:
Some of you fine folks can throw up tents at my place. I've got a yard, a field, water, fridge, fire pit, ticks and I'll rent a honey bucket for the weekend. I have parking for a few rigs, probably not great for trailers. Tent space might get tight unless folks want to pitch tents in the field.

You'll have to let me know if you want to stay at my place. I'll send out directions to those who want to camp at my home separate from the tracks for the ride.

Here is the GPS tracks and waypoints:
    https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1-qh8OmxqNuT7zVG-yVD43sroqz1bmqQ6
There is an AM track and a PM for each day. Make sure you only have 1 track visible on your GPS at a time, otherwise it will be confusing because they ziz zag and cross each other.

You know I'm in! Maybe we shoot for the Father's Day weekend this year? Give the rain one more week to get it out of it's system.

Count me in as long as I can be personally guided by the infamous founder of Brap & Bang, guaranteed a good time, and sunny & dry weather.

PS - thanks for the offer to sleep in your bed, but curious if you have a memory foam topper. Ideally with a firm mattress under the topper. I'm kinda particular and don't want to jeopardize being well rested for the riding.

PSS - what's a GPS? you seem stressed about it

I can GUARANTEE that you'll have a time, and the sun exists and there is weather.

I can also confirm that you can bring any bed you like! : )

As far as the GPS, that stands for Great Pilsner Stein and its essential after any good ADV ride.

My vote would be for the weekend before or the weekend after Father's Day weekend, the weekend of Father's Day there is a trials competition that I am hoping to be able to compete in.

As long as this doesn't happen on the 26-27th I might make it. The 26-27th is in competition with a campout I host. :dirtdog
June 2021 (24-27) Wallowa Valley Adventure Jamboree & Beater Bike Bonanza Link :deal :lol3
There are limited good weekends in the PNW to have campouts it's difficult not to overlap.

I've been wanting to do this campout since you started hosting it and for one reason or another, I haven't been able to make it. I hope this year I can. Right now I have the 12th thru the 20th completely open and intend to keep it that way so I can do this. If I do make it I might bring a friend with me.
