1. iI’s the Indian not the arrow.
2. Very few hobby riders could push either bike anywhere near its limits. But with its new rider aids, they’d have a better chance of surviving their attempts to do so on the busa.
The biggest problem with the Bus and the 14 (and I have owned both) is all that HP, combined with all that weight....you can be very hot into a corner...oh oh....
So, yes, more electronics are good....
The 750 looks a lot better than the thousand for some reason.
I bought my ZX14R for sport touring. For that, I re-configured the exhaust into single-sided and installed a center stand, just so I have better chain access on the road. I don't doubt I lost some HP up top. Honestly, Kawi could've dropped the 1441cc back down to 1352cc and it would still make plenty HP AFAIAC. I like a bike that can do what I need to do effortlessly. Some reserves are nice, but a whole bunch more just isn't necessary.
Suzuki did with the latest Busa exactly what I would prefer - smooth out the mid-range, if it meant losing a few ponies up the very top, where I rarely venture anyway.
I do like the Bosch 6-axis IMU. It is why I bought the '18 Ninja 1000. I sure hope I never have to test cornering ABS on a decreasing radius turn with an 18-wheeler barreling towards me, but I'd rather have it than not... just in case.
Local dealer put this up on FB.

We've been waiting for a couple years for the rumored new 'Busa to pop.
Here is your opportunity to own a Legendary Motorcycle.
Call or IM for any information.
This tidbit also: Someone asked about the MSRP.
A: Street Price will land under $17G, list is $18599, I can check on the Jacket sizes for you and I will post up better colors as I get better images, Black Gold/Red Silver/White Blue are the colors offered.
Yes, I know.
I do remember that the jacket sizes do run up to around 66 Euro.
Suzuki is trying to make sure that dealers don't put down ringer deposits so they can get one early for stock. Name on the deposit must match the name later on the warranty registration, or the dealer loses the deposit money.
The ‘Busa is near and dear to me. I can’t believe I first came into contact with these bikes 22 years ago! Unreal. There was a line of them at Thunder Valley in Oklahoma. They were (and are) truly impressive. I have raced against literally hundreds of them over the years. Impressive bikes. It really made me realize how the world has changed. A shit ton!
I regret that they didn't come out with an option for hard luggage that was integrated into the bikes styling and aerodynamics. I think that would have made this a more interesting option for someone looking for a sport-tourer. Sure you can wear a backpack or soft luggage or some aftermarket setup, but this bike is so highly stylized that it seems to deserve some matching luggage option.
Maybe Corbin will make Beetle bags for the new one.
Had a Corbin trunk for C14. Worst motorcycle luggage ever! Heavy as a boat anchor, poorly made and ill fitting. Keys for the lock looked like they came off a cheap Samsonite suitcase.
Their seats aren't too bad, but I won't touch their luggage with a 10ft pole.
As a former Busa owner I say.... that's what one of these is for. Haul your groceries sedately or haul your ass at 190 mph (some have achieved over 200 mph modded)...your choice. This bike is hardly talked about, but it's a marvel.
That is another one that I don't understand why it has to be so bloody heavy.
It was because of the lack of use ZX14 and Busa's that I got a BMW K1300S. With heated grips, ESA and ABS, it was missing CC and it would have been the best bike out there. I still want a ZX14R though
Not sure where this is. Or how many bikes are out there already.
Calling Mr. Yoshimura....
The K13S was a fantastic bike, I had a 2009 and absolutely loved it. I was very sorry to see that BMW never bothered to upgrade the K13S with a larger engine, upgraded electronics or at least cruise control. When the S1000RR hit the market I knew the end of the K13 was near since both bikes were to similar in mission for both to survive. I also owned a ZX14R which other than shaft drive was every bit as good a bike and as fun to ride as my K13S so if you want one buy one before they are no longer available.
Compared to what?
The Busa? The ZX14?
Like a GSA off road heavy?
Heavy like a harley?
The most popular bikes here at ADV are all silly heavy.
This place lives on weight. Yet every bike except harley and bmw are pigs.
