The K13S and the S1000rr were similar in mission?

Yes I believe they were similar in mission, prior to the S1RR the K13S was BMW's sport bike but when BMW released a pure sport bike, S1RR, the K13S became expendable. The S1RR replaced the K13S and the S1R replaced the K13R. If their intended mission was dissimilar then the K13S/R may have survived, I say may have because as great a bike as the K13S/R they were both still slow sellers which probably contributed to their demise.

    You must be somewhat new.

True. And posters clutching their pearls over a claimed difference of 50lbs could typically stand to lose that much weight themselves.

The current ADV Rider formula: >400lbs = Needs to lose at least 100lbs, +20hp AT the same price before I'll buy it. That's road bikes, if it's a dual sport or adv model then the threshold is 300lbs. No slack given at this place at all......

The weight is fine, the power is too low.

The K1300 and S1000RR had nothing close to the same mission. One was a sport tourer the other a track focused super bike

I haven't seen any of the new Busa's out on the road here yet, I know the second gens I can generally drop.

They Japanese play a game where when you crawl onto someone's rear tire, they will either hit the fog line and wave you by or up the pace, they will go for a KM or two if you stay they'll let you pass if you don't they carry on. Only bike recently that won that game was a H2 carbon. I was faster through the corners and tight stuff, but he was dropping me like I was on a 600 as soon as it opened up. I called that a draw. :lol3

when i owned the old one it was about spec sheets and also i believe this bike is about spec sheet boasting so i dont need to ride it.

the r1 was better than the busa on the road back in 1999 as well, but it didnt have 300kmh
