Had an '03 from new, in a dozen years I somehow managed avoiding go to jail now moments. Not one ticket, the only thing possible is that those were also "nah let's not even try" police moments.

The guys at the dealership loved it as they never see stock Busas.

I had an 03, for about 700 miles, when I realized my back was no way as young as my head.

I had a 2010. I fitted helibars and a riser block, and it was bearable...just.

I've had discussions on similar topic with my neighbor, who is a police chopper pilot. The old saying "you can outrun Crown Vic, but you can't outrun Motorola" got brought up and we both got a good laugh. Seriously though, unless there are particular reasons that force their hand, LEOs might refrain from high speed pursuit, not because it's a futile exercise, but because more often than not, the runner ends up in the morgue, instead of county lockup. Plus the chase could endanger public safety. Besides, nobody wants the detail of identifying what's left of the rider, or worse... scraping body parts off the tarmac.

There are places that is not a true statement.

Not that I ever tested it.

I had my Bus to 260 km/hr...for about 5 seconds...deserted road, with good sight lines...she still had more to go.

The world was a blur. It was insane.

Would I do it again?...not unless i was on a track....

But of course. Every jurisdiction sets their own dept policies.

Years ago, there were a string of incidences here where riders ground themselves into hamburger meat after high speed chases. One involved a girl riding pillion. After that, guidelines were revised. Even if it is purely a matter of bad choice on the part of the runner(s), being seen as blood thirsty hounds does not good optics make.

    Like 186 mph fast? :D

    169 mph in 5th. I suppose it's restricted in 6th. Maybe 4th gear is faster. :lol3

Suzuki should do a new version of the old Fast Bikes VHS video MACH 2 where they took the first Busa from Calais to Cannes.
Then you would have a proper review of the new bike.

I'm glad I got rid of my 2018, I just don't have the throttle discipline for a 200hp motorcycle. Never a traffic ticket but many episodes of speeding to a stupid level, the hayabusa so easily corrupts you with that smooth power.
