I just googled it, about 20 different sites said 2020 last year, emissions standards and all that. maybe different in USA? Pity anyway.

Meh, my stock '02 ZX12R would do that without breaking much of a sweat.

Curious to see the new Suzuki though.

I’m looking forward to this announcement, and hope it’s appropriately trimmer and not too automatic, so to speak. Maybe they’ll even offer the Copper/Silver livery...

THAT is how you do a gauge cluster. No idiotic video game screen, just big, round, simple, classy looking, easy to read at the slightest glance, analog gauges! :raabia

Definitely not. I do the Photoshops for work and this is pretty amateur.

This is a big bike for Suzuki, and I hope they'll bring the design thunder. I don't hate the Katana, it's okay, but given its design heritage, I was pretty disappointed to see Suzuki do a parts-bin refresh, and not a clean slate design. They know the big 'Busa is a halo vehicle that showcases the brand. I except great things with this one.

Had mine to a little over 170, gps calibrated, mph (275ish kph) and it was still pulling HARD :yikes
It wasn't long after that I sold it as I determined that a bike that makes it sooooooo easy to ride WAY past 100mph was not good for my long-term health. :lol2
Still....I miss that bike greatly. :cry

I would hope that it has a factory quickshifter as well.

Apparently does, though I've always thought Suzuki gearboxes to be snickety enough.

Not sure snickety is a word....

Actually KHI is still building them (on well-amortized tooling) and will likely to continue to do so until they drop off the emissions qualification tests. New paint and graphics.

I'm almost 54 and use readers for anything text. The dash on my bike with the track skin is a massive tach, dead center gear selection and plenty big mph in the corner. Instant feedback on the only 3 things that I'm looking for, couldn't ask for anything better. I'd be really surprised if Suzuki kept the analog dash but then again, they built a parts bin bike and called it a "new katana."

Snickety goes hand in hand with Suzuki's transmissions. Back in my youth I had several GSX'R's and the gear boxes were absolute butter.

I'm low key on the market for a decent sport tourer. Suzuki doesn't really have one. I have the GSXS1000, naked, and fairing isn't the only thing that's missing. So yeah, I'm pretty interested in the new Busa. Fingers crossed it'll be a similar, smooth, powerful, all-round bike as the original was.
