Congrats - make it happen. Not to worry - Plenty of experienced riders and many a tool among us. Also - I usually tent camp - but this is one you want to hotel with the others.

Just did part of the SBR on the stock tires, you will want something more worthy of gravel and a bit of mud on Floyd Tower rd, day 1 . Have fun its a long weekend but not bad on the AT

I’m going to head down from St Louis on my Tiger 800 roadie and ride Saturday. I’ll be looking to tag along with any slower riders. Lol.

I am sure U know, but:
You can buy a can of non- alcohol fuel to take along, which should do the trick! It is small. After adding fuel you have options; crush it and pitch it in a waste can (or carry to one) or keep it to refill/reuse. Then there are small plastic gas cans, which are a bit bigger.

It has been at least 10 yrs since I rode SBR with friends DirtyDave and Cannonshot. We started on Friday from the west end (cold with heavy rain). Meet the group that night and rode back Saturday. Sunday, we were off to Moab.

Thanks rustynut. My Trailmax Missions are looking like they'll last another 1k miles, but for a ride like that (plus the 3hr ride to St. claire) I'd feel safer with new.

What's everyone riding? I took the KLX for a shake down run. I think she is ready.

Even worn out missions would be better than those factory rain slicks I've got on mine. How do you like the missions? Looking at those and the Michelin adventures

I will be on the ole 690. Bags are on and the only thing left to do is pick up the stickers and pack. By the way I will have last years stickers too if anyone didn’t get theirs. 1DCFEC11-D9A2-4073-9578-E9D4B80AF4B5.jpeg

Hoping I can tag along with someone with a gps...I'm having uploading issues or I just don't know what the hell I'm doing, but that's for another "gps for dummies" forum. I'm counting the days

If I remember right I believe it 84 miles from the hotel to St Elizabeth’s with going by the Kilethermes Bridge.

I'm coming down with my brothers. We've got rooms booked at both locations from the first post for friday and satruday night. I'll be on my 790, and my brothers are on a 950 and a desert sled.
