Been fun meeting some of the guys and girls. Thanks to Todd, Chris, Donald, John, and John, for all the tips for the noob. Had a nice breakfast, packing up, excited!!
Have a great day out there!
4th time riding the SBR, but I didn't make it through day one this time. 160 or so miles in I went down after Cedar grove. Hit some gravel in my lane and tried to correct only to hit more gravel. Ended up down the embankment with the bike next to me. I hit a tree and stopped and the bike hit a rock and a tree. After getting my breath back a truck had stopped and I hooked my strap to it and we go the bike back up the hill. Bent sub frame, bent bars, and broken windshield otherwise it's ok. Me on the other hand bruised knee, many bruised ribs where the tree hit me, as well as various cuts and scraps from my helmet. Wasn't able to make it to St Robert for the first time. Anyways here's the crash vid haha.
Sorry to here this, but glad your ok
Glad you were able to walk away. Never minded gravel on dirt,. But gravel on slab makes me grit my teeth.
On another note, on my inaugural voyage, I must say the boys and and I had a great time. Thanks to those who put the ride together years ago, and thank you for the ones who have kept it going.
Glad you're okay scary video
So sorry you didn't get to finish the ride, but good that you are okay, and the video is priceless! You can enjoy that for years to come.
Look forward to some pics of the bike, before and after repairs.
The video is proof that we can still "just" run off the road.
I came SO close, so many times over the weekend, feel blessed to have survived.
I too went down on some garvel, although it wasn't as intense as your crash was! Glad to see you walked away with only some bruising.
Sorry about the crash, neat video. What camera set up is that with the track and speed implanted on it
Thanks man it's a Garmin Virb Ultra 30
Hey solo650 Thanks for posting the pic of me at the highlight of my ride, the creek bath! I really enjoyed your company over the weekend.
Finally finished editing my video of the footage I got. Had fun for sure.
You got my creek bath, cool! It happened so quick, in my memory, it was a lot more involved. The Family loved it! P-Pa’s first filmed crash.
