Jeepers. Just had a first crack at coming up with a route. I've gone cross eyed. 2175km and about 163,000 points. I fear all that stopping for pics will knock the shit out of my moving avarage, I can see riding past some of the lower value ones and/or not taking on the ones that are likely to take quite a bit of time for not that much extra km's. Is this the general thinking @EVLED ? Many thanks Rich.
Currently sitting on 2,223km (might be able to shave some off that with a little more work) and 235,000 points. Doing everything South of the topmost mystery checkpoint. But just had an email to say our accommodation in Oamaru has been cancelled for some unknown reason...Might be interesting trying to find a new place...
I've got us doing Myers Pass from Foveran to Kilamock. Good idea or not? Are we just going to burn daylight not getting anywhere fast?
