Mine came in Nov 3rd and I just picked it up last Saturday. Next lot of bikes for my dealer is jan 21 and he says he is getting 3 more. A Blue one came in 2 weeks before mine, but I waited for the red one that I wanted. My VIN in the 1400's. Maryland/DC area-
Just heard from the dealer, nothing till January, seems to be the common message.
I hear they will be $12k after January 1st.
I got mine yesterday. Had 67 miles on it when I bought it. A guy who worked for Yamaha decided he liked his super Tenere better. He was a BIG guy! I understood. Anyway I paid list plus $1000 for it which included $1000 worth of farkles. So no dealer fees. I LOVE it. Probably gonna take the place of 2 or 3 of my bikes. That would be nice!
Nice! What crash bars are those? I like the white
Look like Adventure Spec.
I think that is right. They came with the bike. Can't find a logo. But I think that is what the previous owner told me.
Check 'em with a magnet.
I believe Adventure Spec is the only one making crash bars out of aluminum.
I have the same bars. They are adventure Spec.
Strong magnet doesn’t stick at all to the bars.
Well I decided to try Yamahas inventory search.....not optimistic any of the bikes it shows are actually in stock but we'll see, maybe I'll get lucky....
Best bet is to just start calling all the dealerships within whatever range you’re willing to travel to. that’s what I did and found one to buy the next day only 3hrs away with no waiting and only minor hassle of about a dozen phone calls.
Yeah done that there isn't any around here. I have a handshake deal with a dealer that expects one in January so I am not really in a rush. I am first in line there. All the other dealers are taking deposits....they have 5-6 people already waiting.
Colemans Falls Church
I called them, they had nada in stock. This may have arrived after I had that conversation.
Now the dealer is saying March....WTF....
