    Saturday morning, the group of GS noobs (tbarstow, Rebarman, Capt. Barbosa, and LeDakar) plus our witness on the Transalp (Mario), headed out to Titus Canyon.

    Mario gets a great shot of me.

    Titus Canyon was a good ride for us GS n00bs. We brought along a witness to vouch for the fact that nobody put their big pig down! We did all take note that Titus Canyon was infested with non-native species, specifically the Hot Asian Chick. We were unsuccessful in capturing them on film or collecting samples to show to the Park Service officials.

    When we got to the bottom of the canyon, we headed back to Stovepipe Wells for lunch. After a good meal, Mario and I were still up for more riding, so we headed out to the Chloride Cliffs.

    Here's the two pics from Mario and I going to the Chloride Cliffs. Too much riding, very little stopping, and no opportunties to take pics while riding.

    When the wind kicked up at 4am on Sunday, followed by the lightning show to the East, I packed up and got rolling just as the rain was making its way to the campground. I headed out to towards Badwater to miss the snow, but I did hit some rain and a heck of a lot of wind.

    Watching the storm roll in from the Stovepipe Dunes.

    I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next ride!

    Great pics from everyone so far.

    Great Pics Tim!

    Did not get a lot of action shots, but here's a few of my favorites;

    Tim (Tbarstow) Not too sure about this guys nOOb status

    [IMG]

    It was a great day of riding! Next year; better shocks and a rear tire with bite will make it even better:deal

    Sunday Morning,

    this tent wouldn't make it;

    [IMG]

    LeDakar thinking it's about time to start packing

    [IMG]

    Trip was a blast, and the storm at the end of it made it even better :clap

    I hope everyone made it out safe, the ride home was definitely on the interesting side with the rain/snow and wind!

    Thanks too Redbull for putting this together (I'll try and say hi next time), My camp mates and riding partners Capt Barbosa(Bob), LeDakar(Renaud), Tbarstow(Tim), and CaliforniaXRV(Mario). And thanks to rruger(john) for riding home with me. And of course Joel(h8chains) for doing what he does!

    See you guys next year!

    Those attempts were pretty sad...haha. I know I could have made it up with relative ease, just needed the right strategy! I'm thinking I needed to stay in second gear the whole time and use mostly momentum to scoot right over that deceptively large/steep lip at he top...next year I WILL climb that hill :) But hey, at least I made the one at Chloride Cliffs on my second attempt; that makes up for my failure at the other hill climb right, right !? lol.

    I sense that you survived the weekend and made it home safely! :clap

    Hey Tim, Toby, Mario, LeDakar, and Cpt Barb....didn't have the chance to see you guys on the trail but glad you have pictures to share. We now have an idea where you pig handlers been wandering. We have 3 GS in our group too, Zing and Eduardo did well, and Bernie later on got his tempo back and ther rest of the ride went well! It was fun!

    Joel,

    Not sure how I only saw you for 5 minutes all weekend.
    I hope your shoulder is feeling better.
    I had a great time in DV and made it home with no problems.
    I am loading the 2 videos of KJ to youtube right now.
    I'll send the link to RB and I'll send you some of my pics.

    Thanks for your help.

    Is KJ the guy who rode his bike home? He pulled over and let me by(I was in the yellow Ford if your reading this) on the way out. I watched in my mirror and thought that guy is tough! If he kept going out to 395 I was going to pull over and throw his bike in my truck. He turned south.

    I would give KJ on a TW200 (San Bernardino) and Punkenduro on a KLX250(Murrieta) the 2 most determined adv nOOb riders we ever met! :clap

    These 2 young men rode they bikes through the entire event in the rain, wind, and snow!

    Good job.... :bow
