    Those Big Bear medics are great guys. We had a friend while MTB break his collarbone. Though he wasn't flown out, it was a long hike carrying him back up to the trail head. Glad all is well since we all know it could have been worse. (I was lurking on this thread since I miss living out that way)

    we took the slab so we can jump onto to the next trail

    easy to miss the trailhead except this ranger gave it away

    we made the wrong turn and ended up at this cool ohv area

    we didn't stay there too long since our primary goal is to reach pioneer town

    the road to ptown was fun, plenty of turns and switchbacks, good mixed of sand, dirt and rocks.

    the road to pioneer was pretty technical but a lot of fun. can't pull the camera out until we stopped for a break

    at this point, scorpion complained about his sore ankle after he slid on the way

    back on pavement to reach ptown

    we made it to pappy's a little past 3 and espi waited for us

    there was a big gig going on and food for later

    then came the drinks

    of course sito was happy for accomplishing our objective

    we finished lunch after 4pm and there wasn't much daylight left. we split into groups on our way home.

    glad there was gas on hw247 otherwise we would never make it to johnson valley

    I've been called a stubbern patient with a good pain threshold :huh I am once again thankful Danny was along as well as everyone else who helped, I'll never be able to repay all of you all in full unless you find yourself in a similar situaton and if that day should come, I hope I mesure up.

    And that is the mark of a true ADV'er sorry we didnt get to ride with you that day but just showing up is enough to measure up. Those that did what they did is the same as you would have done for any of them. Your neither obligated or endebted to anyone. It is this comrodary of the group that makes this so special a place to be.

    Just the fact you said that (Hope to measure up) sets you apart from the sheep. (where is the hat tipping smiley?)

    Get well soon and make sure you get pics of the hot nurses.

    Youll be :freaky and :ricky again in no time.
