Find the movie "Step Into Liquid" on Netflix and stream that for some summer. On a big screen with beers and popcorn it is epic.

Snow on Monarch and Dallas Divide this morning. Less then two weeks left to go. Will winter release it's hold on the mountains in time for the ride to Utah?

I hope some are clear after the Rendezvous so I can get to Denver without drama. Likely too early for what else I wanted to do. That will need to wait for another time.

Forecast shows warming, with high 60's, almost 70, in the afternoons. Still, I'm bringing my warm sleeping bag because my van will be a refrigerator at night!

My tent will be warm enough. Pad and bag are proven in cold.

We spent this past weekend in south-east Utah (hiking) and the weather was brilliant. Unless you want to ride up high into the mountains there should not be any snow issues anywhere.

I'm likely to show up a few days early but no schedule yet. Why put off a good thing! Scott, I'll let you know ahead of time for arrangements.

I'm working on a few big bike tracks, since that's what I'm bringing. Comb Ridge, Butler Wash, Valley of the Gods, Potash and up Schafer Switchbacks, Gemini Bridges, etc. Taking it easy this trip!

Scott, without starting yet another long sticker thread, do you want to briefly touch on Utah’s OHV sticker requirement?

    (I bought one here yesterday)

A 500/650/690 does all of that nicely.

The attached gpx file is a nice ride out of the 3 Step. Heads west from the 3step, pops out on 191 near the Needles entrance, then you ride in past newspaper rock turning off road at Bridger Jack mesa, then past lands end, over the Abajos Mtns past Dark Canyon wilderness and at the end is the Arch Canyon overlook, pretty much dead center to the Bears Ears NM. From Arch Canyon overlook you back track on the forest roads into Blanding for fuel. Head back on the highway and its a 200mi day. There's some pretty nice scenery out that way. The first 6 min of this video covers the ride from the 3 step to the Arch Canyon overlook, about 100mi.

Finished cleaning up my Montana 600 tracks with the 3 Step download. Need to print a paper map and ready to go. Also printed the 3 Step tracks with title, color, and mileage.
