I plan on eating a lot of BBQ after riding Thurs/Fri, does that count?

mike, you think we can pull off the first Afrika Twin West Coast Rally? we can appropriate a corner of the park for the big reds.

I'm too old not to camp. I'm pretty much a noob in sand. We'll see what I can pull off by November. I've only ridden a KLR off pavement once and I remember it feeling heavier than my 1150 Adventure. More top heavy if that is possible. I remember trying to wheelie and nearly tearing my arms off. :imaposer

That place we hit after Wheeler Pass last year, Dickies BBQ Pit, was awsome. +1 vote as Sat pm caterer.

the factory sent me an apology! those twins get only pushed when it's out of gas...but at 70 mpg...lol.

also will contact KTM North America if they want to bring a trailer full of bikes. if they say yes, we will have no room for the big reds. you guys know that my heart is orange, and given the KTM tourist award.

haha, i'm already thinking of that restaurant.

now, where to find a caterer that will do $25 bbq dinner. i met one at the hot spring 2 weeks ago. for 150 peeps....holy cow!

mike, let's work on this one.

brian. not taking reservation yet. when it's time to pay, mention your post # and we'll make it count.

those bringing class a and c...minimum of 2 peeps is required.

I'm in with the wife. She would love to get into a Jimmy Lewis class if he offers one this year. I was planning on bringing the truck camper (dry camping) with small bike trailer. This sounds like as much fun as the noobs rallies.

The lake bed looks like a blast. I got to ride the playa in the Black Rock Desert (Burrning Man Location) a couple of years ago. One of the guys I was riding with was from India on a big GS and drained half a tank of gas doing qualifying runs. He was smiling ear to ear the whole time. It was pure motorcycling bliss. I was on my 1190 so I had some fun myself.
