H and I are still on our way home. We got off the interstate near Crab Orchard, TN. Look what I keep doing to speockets. Good news though. The headache that's kept me a touch morose for the last few days is faded. I tightened my chain enough to keep rolling and my speockets are still hanging together, and my hoosbond is on his way to rendezvous with me in my car pulling trailer just in case I need to throw the Vulc on and haul it the rest of the way home.
Strawberry Short Cake is addictive .
Enjoyed chatting with you and HB.
Many thanks to @HappyRiding for organizing this memorable gathering. Enjoyed your witty humor.
Delighted to meet many longtime friends and get acquainted with new friends.
Did you turn the sprocket around backwards? Not a good idea IMHO....likely to make the teeth break off quicker. Also it looks like the chain has worn into the side of the sprocket and that leads me to think the rear wheel may be out of alignment... besides all of that....too tight is worse than too loose...a lesson I've learned the hard way.
I wouldn't be surprised the rear is out of alignment, just like me. It was way too loose a couple hours ago and I tightened it quick and dirty at a gas station.
No turning the sprocket around, but what if I ride backwards the rest of the way home?
The Hannster is glad to ride in the Sube the rest of the way. We took my loaded bags off the bike and put them in the car, and the rear feels light now. We're getting cooled off, then he'll follow me. As long as the bike is rolling, so will I ride. Steady as she goes.
So you lull them into a false sense of peace and security.
Still and hour from home. My belly was calling for food.
Change of plans. We loaded my bike on the trailer and I'm riding in the car.
Thank you to everyone for making this a terrific event, and many thanks to @HappyRiding for organizing it. @LadyDraco, thanks to you and your other half for feeding me.
While I didn't get to know everyone this weekend, it was delightful to make some new friends. I look forward to seeing all of you at future events.
Also, my knee pad made it home, too. I know @HappyCRNA would want to know.
I'm glad you were able to get close enough to home to get the cavalry out there.
Thank you all for a relaxing weekend and see you freaks again soon.
Better safe than .......

Good. That sprocket looked toastified.
Thanks for a good time ya'll. I hydrated well on the trip home so if some of you start getting random calls it MIGHT be because I put your numbers on every bathroom stall I visited.
