Ahh that seems like it might be the best way for me to go.
FYI: All the info regarding crossing at Nogales, Naco and Douglas/Agua Prieta is on the Los Arcos website.
Remember Naco has limted hours for the TVIP I believe Thursday afternoon to Sunday. The km 21 south of Nogales is very easy all you need is in one large quiet complex with helpful people.
When you cross at Nogales use the downtown crossing and just keep riding south and you will be fine, I stay in the Hotel San Carlos right at the fence its a great safe hotel and is 500 pesos.
I was wanting to make this event but I can't make the time frame work. Does the weather stay pretty nice through the month? I may try to come down over thanksgiving or thereabouts.
Yes, it is normally good weather through November but what is normal these days. Come on down

Size 5 is a normal match size soccer ball, any other size is a kids/demo ball.

Looks like I'm driving down from Colorado on Thursday to Agua Prieta.
If anyone else is headed the same ish way I would be willing to ride share.
Friday ride to Tom's place, I might take a more twisty route and not go directly to Banamichi.
I really love the section from Moctezuma to Ures, it is exceptional.
Looks like the weather is going to be awesome, mid 50's to mid 80's all weekend.
