There is a fair amount of dirt roads, and some tar connectors. No long 30+ mile sections that would have you squirming in your seat. The dirt roads will keep you entertained enough so you won't be thinking about the 2x4 you are sitting on. The trail sections have some fun areas/loops that would be fun to play around on with a smaller bike. It's a gps ride, so you are on your own to scout around a little. I have friends that ride similar events on a 500exc and seem happy, especially when l am working so much harder on my 950ADV.

IMHO, you may find this event not that challenging with that bike. However, there are trails not far from the event that this bike was made for, so you can hit them on your way to or from the event. In any case, whatever you bring you'll have fun, It's a great event.

Hello Lonsome and I agree with what the others said. It's definitely geared to big ADV bikes and larger Dual Sports. For most, the A rides have sections that are plenty challenging for the big bikes. I'm sure you'd find the weekend enjoyable on the 500, but not challenging.

Well it's a lot of work (fun too), but we were able to put the finishing touches on Ride 4 today. We're less than 2 weeks out! A finalized itinerary will be emailed to all preregistered riders this week. We'll also post it on here and Facebook. Note to riders that were with us last year, there's a new line through the car wash. The first "island" is washed away and the line has changed even within the last month (between creating rides 1 & 4). There's now a small drop in to the down stream side....notice in the pics where the quad is sitting...that's your mark. My 16 year old daughter that just started riding 2 months ago made it through today....so you can too! https://www.facebook.com/permalink....86801771177&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic

There's also a sweet bridge now for those that don't want to give it a go. See you soon for some mud, music, beer and great food!

Pics will be coming this week Doc If anyone that did the event has any good pics to share I’d appreciate getting them emailed to me. Running mid sweep, it was pretty tough to get pics with all the challenges out there!

Interested in the outcome we just got our BMW, so I know basically nothing about adventure touring. This is pretty close to us though

The water crossings were cool (literally).

Hillclimbs in the play areas and Sunday's bowl were the steepest I have ever ridden and I am so happy I linked up with riders that were there to do them. Now I want more!

Godspeed was awesome. Food, room, hospitality, all top top top notch. They were also pretty damn helpful when you lock your key in your cabana.

GPS routes were great. My Montana was chock full of info so I had to clear it out to load the route on Sunday. But it all worked out in the end. I followed another group of riders Saturday afternoon.

Event went pretty smooth in my eyes.

The mud, rocks and riders were all awesome. I can't wait to do this again next year.

I bought this damn orange toy and this really is the place to play with it.

Thank you Kissel Motorsports and all that were involved.

Its been days already... and what just 1 review/thank you? Really... you guys are pathetic ( I guess that includes me). Oh wait are we not supposed to say anything on here so this stays our little secret?

Oh well I can't help it. Josh = way to go. Another great year! We got there a little early Friday and set up camp in a nice grassy spot by the river and relaxed a little before the afternoon ride.

The afternoon ride through "ginter" was something else. None of it was impossible, but every bit of it was challenging. It was not stop for 60 miles. Hill climbs water crossings, atv tracks through trees slick mud etc etc. When we finally made it back to camp I said "well if we stopped right now - I got my moneys worth!"

Friday diner was great at Godspeed and so were the showers and beer. The band played a great mix of tunes for a few hours and we fell asleep by the sounds of the stream.

    to be continued....
