Signed up and fee paid. @NSFW I finally used the 35% Leatt coupon given out during DVNR and the savings covered the cost of entry for Pahrump. Just another reason, among many, inmates should attend and support a rally for a good cause.

    He's not wrong.

Plus, you need to use the $30/liter socks, nothing from Walmart.

2 1/2 weeks away. Good thing I checked the weather early. It reminded me I need to order a new insulated mattress pad as it looks like it will be mid 40s overnight. But perfect daytime riding weather.

Bumping the Rally Route for Sunday. 3 or 4 people have signed up so far. If you are interested, I'll need to know soon so that I can get the roadbook to you in the correct format. PM me to sign up.

    Details again:
Dakar style roadbook rally route. We'll ride it on Sunday. First rider out at 8am. 172 miles. Gas at 134 miles (or 117 miles if you cut it short.) Intermediate but fun sand, rocks, pavement, graded roads. Options to bypass difficult sections. Lunch stop on the route. Most should finish in the early afternoon.
    fun fun

Unfortunately, I need to cancel due to work (darn Tariff drama related). Is there a way to cancel for refund, or gift to someone else (first responder, military, etc.)?

I was just going to sign up and will take you up on the offer if Joel is cool with it. Maybe I could contribute in another way.
If it matters I do work on emergency missions for FEMA.

Slowly getting ready... new rear already on the 690, new front showed up to put on tonight. Installed a smaller rear sprocket to make the 300 miles of highway to get there tolerable. Haven't traveled on this bike yet, so I gotta do some test packing...

I'm taking the week off and may head to Panamint Springs first. No set plans as of now, except to take the week and ride somewhere. Anyone else have similar plans?

Hey, I just threw my money at you Joel. I'll see you in a couple weeks. I'm excited for another rumble in Pahrump. Trucking in, camping, have the 500 exc. Don't have a clue how to get around without JoeFromSF, however, Tuffgonger assures me getting lost will be fun.

    see y'all soon.

Clearly, you are new. DO NOT throw any money at Joel. Last time someone did that, Joel was leaning against a pole and things got out of hand quickly. Remember, he's retired now and he needs a new income.

Are there typically ride sign up sheets like at n00bs, or will I have to actually talk to people? I've been looking at some of the suggested things to see/do that @GalacticGS posted on the first page, but I'm at a loss on how to link some of together. For instance, Wheeler Pass to Mt Charleston lodge looks like a ton of blacktop after the pass. Is there a more interesting way than 95 to 156/158/157?
