If there was ever an opportunity to pay back all of the good that Jason, Joe and I have been shown over the years, this was it. Getting Dan home safe was not optional and it was worth every mile.

Thanks Joel for putting this event together, I had a great time. I spliced together some of the video I took so take a look if you've got a spare 6+ minutes.

Thanks I'll take a look. In defense of my X grip, I had never had it pop out before and I think it was probably when I was l picking the bike up (I think I put my shoulder into it). My advice is to use a burner phone on the bike and keep the good one with all your accounts and personal info in a pocket if you can, which is why I didn't worry too much when I donated my navigation phone to the cycling gods.

On the upside my locking 3d printed holder for the Garmin 64 held up like a champ.

My X-Grip, sans the rubber band thingy, survived 4 drops going over Mengel Pass. My phone stays on my bike better than I do.

That said, I still get nervous every time I look at it.

Just to Change things up a bit: This is a photo from my security cam showing the theft of my Mosko Moto Nomad. Got home from Rump, parked the bike in my driveway, walked inside and this happened 22 seconds later. I was 20 feet away.

Nope. I'm actually very gratefull I didn't catch him and her. It would have escalated fast. I have extremely high resolution Vid of them and the front and back of the vehicle. PoPo has it all.

We made it home in 11 hrs. Worth every minute for the opportunity hang out with some great people old and new. Kim had a fantastic time being able to get out and play as well.
