Shanorama and I cruised through the campground yesterday, passing by on a non-related ride. Talked with Hurty and crew. Hurty was supervising the Kermit-chair detail and doing a mighty fine job of it!

The weather was great.. but already getting warm by 10:00 am. I'm pretty sure I heard Hurty say it was already 'beer-thirty'.

Gonna be a great weekend, guys. I'm wishin I had made plans to be there now, but the bike needs some time in the shop before heading out with IdeaMan for Alaska.

    Have fun, all!

Yup, I'm down for the count. Attempt #3 to ride up to this god dammed research station ended miserably. I have my own hotel room at the Mammoth Hospital, 13 screws in my leg, and a constant high. Getting released tuesday after surgery #2 :thumb

Gilla, Sorry to hear about your injury. I had a broken bike and didn't make it there. I guess I don't feel so bad now.

Sorry Gilla. We met at the SheetIron this year. I was looking to ride up with (Just)Paul, but could not get off work on the Thursday and got dragged into meetings on Friday. Hope you are back rubber side down for Dirt Ride / Camp-out NorCal Aug 28-30. Keep us posted.

    GF,

Sorry to hear about the injury, heal quick!

Galatic GS, did you make the ride all the way down from the great white north again? I'm sure it was a bit warmer than the noobs Full Moon transit south. 2 1/2 more months to go and I get to take the bike out of moth balls.

Is there a ride report thread for me to drool over?

By the way... the deserts of Pakistan and Afghanistan make Death Valley look like a sand box. This place is truly the land of Adventure riding.

See you guys in the Fall.

    :freaky

Funny, if I had thought that you were going to stay in a local hospital, I could have brought Adventure Kitty to see you. :lol3

I wasn't there for the campout, but AK & I rode up yesterday morning to do the trip to the top of the mountain. We heard about your misfortune from some of the others we ran into. How did it happen?

    That sucks!! :yikes

We need a "WTF happened" story/report so that some of us can learn NOT to do whatever it is that led to your mishap. :deal

Then again sometimes shit just happens... :nod

    G-funk,

.......ok so your hurt, er something....whatever!! All we really want to know is are there any hottie nurses roaming the halls of Mammoth Hospital... and remember it's useless to respond without adequate photo's.

....if you come out of this deal with a limp, do we then call you Gimpafunk??

Heal well & fast....with proper therapy you should be able to make Kennedy Meadows ride Aug. 21.
