I guess that beats crashing in the first ten minutes huh? You got some riding in at least! I'd love to give it a go sometime but the timing is just brutal for me. I'd have to go into it out of shape and rusty. They should move it to October!!:D

sorry about not finishing, still big congratulation to you. KOM is not for everyone and you made it to the finals despite of being a human.

I struggle with this same issue. We found a small 40 acre patch of land on the eastern plains that we used. It certainly wasn't challenging terrain. However, it did allow me to kinda get in shape. I have a lot of technical training to improve this season if I want to make a better showing next year.

El Zorillo: Thanks for the picture. I need to spend some time looking for some more pictures from the race.

The dust seems to be settling since I have been back for about a week now. I have been contemplating what other races I will be doing in 2014. I think the Idaho Qualifier, some Webe Races and a 12 hour in August. Oh yea... and TKO!

You should definitely try and make the gnarfest 10 miler, I think it would be an ideal training weekend for that kind of race. And only 6 hours away!!

I've gotten a LOT better than the last time we rode Mr. Scone Rider but really, I swear, that wasn't me. Don't know what made you say such an awful thing... :lol3

(sorry to hijack your race report--fantastic effort, 602!)
