Still tinkering in putting my '15 Enduro engine in my RFR, now wondering about the clutch slave cylinder. Seems that the Enduro models have a one piece clutch line that goes straight into the slave cylinder, while the RFR line uses the hollow bolt to connect to the slave cylinder. Now I have a mismatched thread. My RFR hollow bolt seems to have different thread. Think it would be find to use the slave cylinder form the 690RFR on the 690E engine? @LukasM Might know :)

Hi can someone please tell me if a fuel filter should be between tank and fuel pump or carb and fuel pump ? Does it even matter what side of the fuel pump the filter is ?
    Thanks kito

Between pump and Carb, you never want to have any restriction to the intake of a pump regardless if it's a fuel pump or a water or any type of pump.

Thanks. Is the a reason ? Does the fuel pump not require any sort of protection ?

They use a diaphragm pump which handles crud fairly well.

Efi likes filtration before the pump due to the tight toleran

Efi pumps benefit from clean fuel and filtration prior to the pump due to the much tighter tolerances inside the high pressure pumps. I have seen a 450rr that suffered some running issues due to dirty fuel.

Hi guys, I got an 2007 RFR a bit over a year ago and getting it ready for the first long trip. After testing it for over last 3 months and almost 5k km it is nearly perfect.
The only thing that is bothering me is the fuel consumption that's 6L/100km without any hard or extreme riding. That makes 600km from both tanks.
    What mileage do you get?
And which carb settings do you have?
I'm not planing any mountains on this trip (more or less sea level - Baltic countries, Finland and maybe Sweden).
P.s. Just an idea, 'cause I'd be using LC4 640 for many years and kms - is there a bad fuel switch somewhere? (On 640 it was also rising the consumption... just a thought if I'm running good carb settings).

For reference my 650cc 690 non ref with fuel injection and front tanks could just barely do 300km at race speed in loose surfaces in Australia. For road and medium technical trail riding the same bike could go about 480 km on 22.8 liters

    Hey Boys,

My carburetor mod has been completed and I will do a complete write up of it shortly!

I am also in process of finalising the Rally conversion for my Enduro. I have made brackets for the rear airbox mount, side fuel tank rear mounts, grounds etc... but before I weld them into place I am really hoping someone would be kind enough to help me out and confirm distances and placement as best as possible.

Anyone with a 690 / 450 (early version) RFR willing to take some measurements for me?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Marc

Why don’t you bring some beer and take the measurements by your self :photog
I own a 2011 690 RFR. Hope that’s the one you are searching for.

Located south of Vienna in Ebreichsdorf. Will send you my telephone number trough an PM.

Mine has over 200,000km on it now including an African Dakar and an International Cross Country Race on every continent.

Soon I will be reunited with Basil in Cape Town, a full rebuild and then ride him home to the UK.

Can't wait fricken love all my rally bikes. The LPR 732 motor with Nova Wide Ratio gearbox makes it the ultimate adventure machine (obviously some other mods also). So good.....nothing production will ever come close.
