Looks like a fun place to explore. Thanks for posting !
Got a few photos of Split Mountian. Another area that was under the sea, under ground volcanos lifted the land so I am told.
You cannot park under here if it rains, the flash flood will make your ride into a jet ski. Bring it on, don't worry me says George.
The buggy was out today, of course he can't catch me, George said TWIST that throttle, so we did.
I got to have a heart to heart if we get home alive!
I went riding south, to see new stuff. Took I 8 from Ocotilla west to the Desert Tower exit.
There waiting for me was the UFO recovery complex. This guy is for real, will
retrieve your UFO and does repairs.
Not sure if I will get scared or not.
I left there, and jumped on the Old hwy 80, follows the Mex. border to San Diego.
What a great road and all to myself. Went thru a few small towns and ended up in Pine Valley for lunch.
Being retired, I have some spare time to look for Cactus Bloom and Flowers. Hard job, but somebody has to do it.
My favorite might be the Biggalo Monkey, small and purple, and rare.
One day Black 8 rolled into ride. We headed for Borrego Mtn drop off, may ride it next time. We climbed up the Goat trail to some great views. Later I went looking for the desert bloom.
I might have more later
I have been lucky to ride in Arizona. These pics will be when I rode out of Gold canyon .
Looking to find a way to Robles Butte.
Cactus forest , it felt lonely out there.
Will the road get better , yes and NO. I don't stop for pictures where I might never be found. There's no cell signal out here.
And I have a SPOT still in the box. If I start using that I probably get to cocky and go places I should not.
Already do that enough alone
Headed out to Superior and road 177 to Kelvin and west to Florence. Just another great twisty hwy, to the turn off.
I did see one truck that day, fear factor just low.
I think George was napping , can you find him?
Now I am checking out Tucson.
Redington Pass , barely left the slab and saw this.Guess I won't being doing the whole route. Too Bad, cause it would end up in San Pedro river, I had been at that end .
looking south to Tucson
Turned back to ride up Mt Lemmon, 29 miles of more Twisty and views.
Riding out of Mesa .
Bulldog Canyon trails
Now in Black Canyon
Fun starts here.
This might scare somebody.
Had a plan to go to Crown King and grab the Senator Hwy to Prescott. Had a flat early on, so after CK, got on the Senator, what a joke. I figured Hwy would mean good road. Wrong, it took 1.5 hrs to go 17 miles before there was anything close to straight or smooth. I never stopped for pictures, afraid to stop the bike, if it doesn't start, well you know.
Got to CK
Found the Senator, rode at 6000 ft for 1.5 hr
This would be my first stop after the scary last 1.5, I did see 2 guys backed in the bush, might have been dumping a body. I didn't ask.
On the way back , I saw this. Think you might like Arizona yet?
Riding in the Rolls, OHV area north of Mesa.
Pick your best line, Steeper than it looks.
Sand ahead, might air down ,might not.
It's all good!

On another day I had some company, good thing cause we were lost in the Rolls for 2 hrs.
Down in a valley ,every trail out was way steep.
Finally found the way out, I hadn't thought look at track back on my GPS.
Excuse me , I had to get this call , probably a rider wanting to ride with me. NOT
From the Rolls you can get to 4 Peaks.
We hit snow, had to turn back.
A different year, it was clear so made it over the peak, down the back side to Roosevelt Lake.
From there I took the Apache trail. I stopped a lot, probably took 50 pictures.'
It is so grand in there, I read somewhere the mountains are 18 million years old.
And now the good part, The X broke down at the top of Fish Creek hill.
so lucky it wasn't at the bottom. Ignition wire fell off the solder joint. Long day
and scary too.
So I better ask, too many pictures? . Do they all seem to look the same after awhile?
For me, it is bringing back the memories from years past.
Not too many photos at all! Makes me miss AZ riding this time of year - thanks for sharing the memories.
Well good then , so I will carry on.
You can never have too many Saguaro Cactus.
Keep the pics coming, they're great!
Pictures speak a thousand words, less writing! Keep em comin
Thanks for the feedback. I will only try to write enough to say where the pictures are.
Looks like I made a wrong turn, now in Death Valley.
Going to the Westside rd. 5 miles across the floor
Rocky road in the mountains
That's far enough, heading back
Little did I know what was coming next.
Wow, this got my attention.
You feel real small in here, I love it.
And that's just the first mile. OK I lied, maybe 2 miles.
Near the end, what a ride.
