Excellent posts' Steve!
Ironic your posts with the Anza Borrego, that I don't know off too well, and Moab, that I've ridden many times now over the past 5 years since joining in on Imu's group(@simbaboy)in 2014.
BTW, here's how you're suppose to cross Mussleman Arch. Yes, that's yours truly, the great big whussy that I am,
Real men ride across that arch.....while doing a wheelie!!
Ok you 2 rebels, how's this
So I heard the Klaviator is going to Moab next year with you Sam. Tell him to bring some training wheels and show us this wheelie!. If I remember, it's a LONG way down! Ha Ha.
yep , it's a long way down.
We are going North for a ride, East Harrison to Lilloett 250 km, Gold Bridge ,Bralone 160 km (hard) and West Harrison 340 km in my home Province, B.C.
3 days , 6 riders.
First I told the cat.
Vinnie wasn't pleased
Texas Creek ranch rd.
Natives fishing the Fraser River
cabin on the way.
Started out easy.
Got a bit harder.
Time to wash boots.
On the last part to Goldbridge. That's all I got .
Sure, no problem. Now I just have to learn how to do a wheelie I have done wheelies before, just not intentionally
You should be fine, relax your wrist enough to untwist that gas. Wish I had done that at Long beach,WA. I grabbed a handful, bike shot up in the air, I fell off and bike spiraled back down towards me. I just rolled out of the way as it landed on the front wheel with such force it bent the forks.
@black 8 Sent you a PM, friend!
Join us in Moab April 2020.
p.s @sealsam @klaviator @The Virginian @eaglescan
That's would be cool to meet your group. If I can swing it, I will know in the new year.
I have followed your reports Imu, all good.
You're so easy!
Got some new pictures from Anza Desert rides.
on the Truckhaven trail. This was the only way from Salton Sea to Borrego , before S 22
Went to the Calcite mine.
This was after some rain, sticky mud!
To the diablo drop off again, different riders.
Once we got down the hill and into Fish creek/ split mtn.
Stopped here just because. OK probably had a leak too!
After such a fine day, we hit the bar.
Thanks for looking.
Some mighty good stuff here
Cool, I love going to Anza Borrego
Yes, and you live near there all year!
Thanks LB , I read your report to AK.
I was having a bad Hare day, but headed out to LOST Valley, near warner Springs.
Me and the Original Curios George looking down on SAND.
He rode everywhere with me for a year, then I took him back to the area he was first found. I bet the kid was wondering where he was all that time!
Now we are up the hills of Lost Valley.
It's a nice windy paved fire rd. to here , then dirt.
We left there and headed to High Point ,which climbs forever to Palomar mountain.
OK, that's high enough, I'm getting a headache. ( only 6220 ft) It was 10 miles of views.
We take the ridge route east to get down. More cool views.
Found this, Fire lookout.
This happened a different day.
See you next time.
First a selfie. Better look close, EAGLE in the tree!
and maybe a Hedgehog cactus in bloom.
Great stuff, loved it. Thanks for posting!
