Hola amiga! Tengo la impresión que estás pensando en Puerto Montt y la isla de Chiloé. Osorno está lejos del mar, tierra adentro. Si vienes de nuevo me gustaría que nos volvamos a ver!

I think this is the post he was saying the link to the maps didn't show up.

Having paper maps is awesome, but it's worth knowing that Google Maps does cover South America quite extensively.

Muchos saludos y que pase un buen verano!

Thank you for your correction, yes I meant to reach the island of Chiloe, but did not mention to go further South to Porto Montt and from there take the ferry. It was your recommendation, and it was certainly an excellent one. Thank you one more time.

Missing my trip very much :)

You are right Google Maps is good in each country, I have used it every time I had to find my hotel, but I found that having the whole country just in front with good visual hierarchy of the roads helps you to select which roads to take, but that is just me....the 'Old Weed" likes paper maps :)

    Hi
incredible we were having a break from our ride in the Pyrenees (France) and started talking to a lovely lady whom turned out to be the "Old Weed". I had read her story here and then to meet this lady thousands of miles away from her base. I said to my riding buddy that "I know that lady" we asked and yes it was her. She obviously leads a full and exciting life. She wish us well and on our way we went. Derek

    Hi Derek,
Was so unexpected for me also to meet you. Isn't it wonderful to have those unexpected encounters?
Life is full of unexpected and for me it has been always fun en enlightening. The world has become, with ease of travel, now very small.
I see you enjoy life too, have safe rides.

Once in a while I check my old post and saw your post.
Certainly if I end up on your Island, I will let you know.
Always fun to exchange stories and as you have found out explore new areas.
