Iv'e had this bike for 20+ years, ran OK when i got it but it's been sitting for a good 10 years. Got a NEW oem carb as the sediment/laquer from the last ten years was over the top. Spark is good but not even a burp of life, cleaned the reeds as well. Being an OLD points bikes i'm thinking timing is an issue as well. PLEASE chime in with your input!

    Morning,
So the NEW mukuni carb is NOT a VM22SS, its a 24__, no worky as the height is taller than stock which creates an issue with the throttle cable length/oil injector cable assy. So i purchased an UltraSoninc cleaner & rebuilt the REAL OEM carb & Viola, literally first kick start out of the gate. Here she is, stone stock expect for the tires which i replaced probably 15 years ago & the seat cover as well.

Been working on getting a few ESSENTIALS, :1drink for the bike. OEM headlight $40, carb boot $10, float bowl base gasket $5, main jet O ring $5, exhaust tip insert $40 & few other items as well. Carb wise the previous owner by the looks of it had a float bowl issue, kept literately hammering the side to make it unstuck, hard to tell by the pics but crazy.

Found another OEM 437 on Fleabay for $50 fully intact.

Not showroom perfect, but generally unmolested.
