Hear! Hear !
Must have just missed you by a few days, I was just in all of those places and am halfway back to Germany now. I'm from Clemson, riding a R 45. I guess the border guards must have surrendered without a shot when they saw them Garands! Romanian roads are obstacle courses, many of them moving. Aggressive drivers too...sheesh. Great trip and report, continued good luck to you.
Pacific NorthWet Web Footer chiming in.
Oregon if ya did not know.
Thanks Doug !
Welcome to Bulgaria, where we cross the Duna River, meet some new potholes, and after arriving at the motocamp, I 'fix' my clutch pedal, the nut looks to have been lost quite awhile ago, threads are gone, but it'll hold until I get back home.
Rode 750km this weekend to the Night Wolves party in Kyustendil, and back to Idilevo. Lots of bad roads, mountain passes, more bad roads, and some rain.
That field of Sunflowers? is beautiful.
Just want to thank you for sharing! Great RR! Much appreciated! Peace and safe travels.
Always entertaining and educational. Thank you Doug and thank you inmates for your observations, information, and wit.
Thanks for sharing your ride, great photos and writing. Great to see some old Harley's making a grand trip like this.
Thanks Doug. This has been a great trip. Unlike all the other trips this one seems to have a bigger purpose.
I've got to ask a question tho. Maybe the answer is on an earlier page and I missed it. Is that a real gun on your bike? It must be a prop, not a functioning weapon. How many times have you been stopped by police ridding around with a weapon in countries that I believe have pretty strict rules about such things.
I hope it's an M1 Garand.
You did miss it....
It's just the wooden stock. I carry a Thompson in it back home. No cops have stopped us so far, which surprised me. A few border guards were curious, but no issues.
