It’s tough finding thawed out backcountry routes.
Looks like our morning! @DCGH and I went out for a bit of a rip this morning. It was nice to get out for sure, and amazing how good these bikes are for unwinding a bit of twisted up asphalt, but as good as the TKC80s are on road, they suck on snow and ice! We pulled into one of the local trail heads where there are some pretty easy hill climbs etc, but the parking area was still a sheet of ice so we couldn't get at the trails. .
First ride in 12 months
1000 km over night ride and only one fuel stop, love the range with the rear tanks
42 degrees, so I tossed my heated gear controller on it. Found out with the grips, warmnsafe 90W jacket, legs, socks, and gloves, that it’s taxing the electrical system. 12.3-12.4v showing on the dash for the ride. Could tell the gear wasn’t as warm as it was on the 18GSA. Probably lose the heated legs first. Plus side, I’m 75mi closer to the break in 600.
Awesome weekend of riding in Mpumalanga, South Africa
That is some nice riding country you have there! I would miss my mountains and trees too much but I would love to visit for a while.
That 1290 rider needs to get some proper boots and tires!
I actually like that low fender on the 790R. <----- words I never thought I'd utter.
Perhaps it's separation in space from the alien vajaja create a balance. Something about it seems .. balanced.

Lol... Juvenile Detention Center.
Let me introduce you to La Bonita. She is tall, refined and quite thrilling. Oh the trouble we will get into together!
Special thanks to KRW Cycles for hooking me up with this beauty! (P.S. This is the last time you will see her this clean.)
Finally out of the garage for a spin to knock the dust off. Nothing intense, just a prowl around some farmland. Bye bye winter!
Wash after a dirty weekend
