Time for some much needed tlc
This photo is probably the first time I've had a real sense of the tank paint colour. Unless it's the fluorescent lighting and the white balance. Seems like a weird colour choice for a KTM.
Beautiful day southwest of Cowtown in Alberta
I think we've had this conversation before... His is covered in a clear gloss of some sort which makes the blue look different than most. At least that's what I recall.
You are a sucker for that blue though... We need to get you one the next time they sell it as a once in a lifetime opportunity.
This was taken after the final stretch of snow coming down the Grey Creek pass.
Took us 90 minutes to wrestle the bikes through the snow. The ktm showed’m how it’s done though.
Weird, I never knew you had green eyes...
how long you figure till the pass is open? I was thinking about going that way yesterday but figured it might be a lost cause.
edit: although for you guys I guess it was open
I really have a little bit of a jealous spot for you 890 dudes that had a plethora of aftermarket parts to buy before your bikes even arrived.
Two weeks is my best guess. Our track / rut will melt faster now so you could see a mostly bare path sooner.
This is looking Kimberly side post effort beer sesh.

Getting good at pulling it apart... practicing doing so with just the toolkit I've put together plus the little stock one means I know I can do it on a trail if needed. Coolant leak found and fixed in under an hour, lol! New bikes are like new houses... always something to do.
But tools should never be left on the ground… I know that they can’t fall any further, but.
Hahaha, I was in a rush... had a covid shot appointment to get to and was scrambling to locate the leak with hopes of not having to take it for something warranty related. I usually pool everything in the stump pan or on the tool roll, but meh... I realized I need a set of Allen bits and a small pair of pliers though. Working on it with just your trail kit is a good way to be prepared for trail repairs. Normally though I'd have a lot more at my disposal.
I'm out for the summer and ost of winter
Had rotator cuff and bicep surgery.. 3 months until I can start working the arm (PT will start in 4 weeks) and what the doc told me about a year until I can do the things I love (off road riding, skydiving, wingsuit, surf, Base, scuba, snowboarding)
Oh Man! That sucks balls!
Welcome to old age.. Speedy and 110% recovery wishes for you! Do not skimp on the rehab…
I never do.. I treat pt like conditionimg training.. I usually have to remind myself to back down... The doc is part of the ufc surgical team so he deals with athletes all the time, I won't be sparring or rolling either in the near future. But if it ends up being back to 100% or very close it's worth it.
Amd thx for the warm wishes
Just a pity our maker’s warranty is worse than KTM’s
At 62yo, I’ve missed a few recall notices.
Sorry to hear...
As you know.. take the PT seriously...its key
Where did your leak turn out to be? I've got a minor one too - they tried to fix it at the dealership while they were installing my heated grips, and it got better, but it's still there.
