Thanks. It’s a little jeep trail loop about 25km long in the Ghost Wilderness, that begins and ends on the Waiparous Valley Road west of the Forestry Trunk Road, sort of west southwest of a town called Water Valley, Alberta. The Ghost Country borders on Banff National Park.

Some people call it the Margaret Lake Loop because it has a little spur that leads into Margaret Lake (pic below) that you can easily ride to.

I've run the Shen500 several times. It's kind of in my backyard, or at least normal riding area. Always a good time and chance to ride with some other folks I don't get to chat with often. I'm working this weekend or I'd be around for sure. I still may see if I can sneak off during the day on Saturday to get a ride in with folks but it's a very long shot.

Couple of the seasonal roads they usually ride w

This is on a GoPro Hero 9 black. I only shot in 1080p. I have since got my Hero 10 that I have videos uploading for in a bit if you want to see the difference. Haven’t done a direct comparison yet, though.

Finally got to test the new rubbers on a beautifull sunday, started out in 3 degrees Celsius and foggy as hell but ended upp almost like summer again.
Now it's all rain and cold again but rides like this helps getting thru the dark season...

    E-09.png

Mitas E-09 Dakar front and rear.
Rear was totaly fine in all the dry conditions while the front was all over the place on the thick new gravel shown below... :p3rry

    Gravel.png

On the more normal dirt/gravel roads front was fine and even a wild chase at some 150 km/h (93 mph) over potholes and erosions the bike was steady as a missile on target,
this bike is amazing at speed and taking up the big bumps so damn confident and safe, miles better than the 990 Adv.

You need to relax and let yourself get out of shape. You'll find stopping to take a photo more important then! :)

Nah, I'm just always trying to keep up with everyone else!

Funny you mention that though, I do CrossFit 4 days a week, have done for 5 years now. I'm 57, so I'm no spring chicken, but I think I'm in good shape for my age. I got the 890 out into the woods for some real trail riding a couple weekends ago, failing a couple tricky hill climbs on that big beast made me feel like a complete couch potato!

We did a couple days riding at the "Adventure Bike Gathering" that happens near by. Day one was 250 km of fast logging road, a bit of 2 track quad trails and a couple tricky stream crossings, I felt like a hero after that day. Day two was 38km I think, although we got back to the rally point in the early afternoon, I wasn't looking to go out for another round in the afternoon! That day's adventure here:

Are you guys removing the plastic chain guard altogether or replacing it with an aftermarket bit that doesn't encase it as much?

I don't think he meant GPX, as in "Go Pro 10"... I think he was looking for the Garmin gps/gpx route of the trip. :)

I enjoyed the video. Great route for sure.
