Beware of this as I have an email in to them as follows:

Re: KTM (2019) 790 Adventure R *LOW Comfort*

Your ad says this seat is:

“1" lower than the stock seat height. Same height as the stock 790 Adventure seat in the low setting.”

    790 Adventure S seat height in low setting is: 830mm / 32.6”

    790 Adventure R stock seat height is: 880mm / 34.6”

So that’s a two inch difference, not one. Who’s wrong? My figures or yours?

I only have a 30” inseam so this is very important to me. "

They replied they are looking into this and will get back to me. When they do, I will post their response here.

from what I have herd is the seat from ktm790 adv s will fit on a 790 R and will give 1" lower. I think thats what seat concepts is saying. Their seat and the ktm790 s seat will fit on a adv r with 1 " lower.

I just added touratech progressive springs and that gave me over an inch. Im 32 inseam and I went from tippy toe to almost balls of my foot. Im thinking of trying the seat for another 1"

Construction is solid as usual with those guys and the seat is carved out flatter than the stock R model. Doesn’t push your nuts up into the tank. Drops me from my tip toes to the balks of my feet w a 30” inseam. Super comfortable and now I sit a little more “in” the bike.

    5 stars.

Just received my sc as well. Went w the ‘rally hard adventure 2.0’

I see there are now a few more options in their list. Like a ‘hard adventure tall’, rally standard....

I admittedly just put it on, stared at it, sat on it and made vroom vroom sounds.

I’ll edit to add pics when I get a chance to ride w it.

I bought the KTM PP tall seat today. Price is 1/2 of a SC seat and if I don't like it I am sure someone will buy it. I haven't put it on my bike yet but will let you know what I think.

I think you may love it Dave. I'm honestly surprised at how many boxes it ticked for my needs. Super comfy so far .. but I don't sit much, and don't do hours of slab so theres that.

Got my seat concepts comfort standard R seat today. Height and reach to the ground is pretty close to the stock seat. Will post up a review when I get some "seat" time in.

I like the PP tall seat. You were spot on when you commented the OEM is wide in exactly the wrong places. Agreed. And the PP tall is slender in all the right places, and it's remarkably plush which was a bit of a shocker.

Thanks. I'll roll the dice on the tall seat then.

I really doubt you'd regret that decision. For reference, I'm probably a 32 inseam. Seemed a bit daunting at first, the taller seat, but that was easily offset by a couple things - first it's narrowness drops the riders legs closer to the bike so your reach is improved. Probably a zero sum compared to stock due to the seat shape. Next, if you remember to place your leg 'behind' the peg when you come to a stop versus adjacent to the peg you'll find it feels better. New muscle memory, but worth it. If you leave your leg adjacent, you loose the advantage of having a narrower seat, particularly if you upgrade to wider ADV pegs.
