I just installed the Pro Bends on my 790R and was not able to re mount my Rottweiler CRG mirrors. They wil not fit on the inside of the bars with enough room for your levers and if you put a spacer on the bar end the perch mounts will not fit. The Pro Bends in the picture above must be an older version or different style? I put the 1290 mirrors back on until I can fabricate new mirror brackets that attach from the outside of the guards, however doing that means that in a fall their toast, also no room for your hand when flipped in. I also noticed that even if I am able to mount the Rottweiler mirrors, there is very little articulation so the mounting has to be pretty much spot on.

Move your levers inboard to clear the mirror mount. That's what I did.

Or, cut the tips of your levers off.

Those are slightly different for sure. Mine are a couple of years old probably. I moved my levers in slightly and added a small spacer on the end and it all clears fine. If nothing else short levers! :)

I initially purchased KTM PowerParts hand guards, but after a cold ride, I realized I want more wind protection. So I bought Barkbusters' VPS plastics and skid plates - they are larger and bolt on to the PP aluminum bracket. I like them so far.

What hand guards are you running with the Rottweiller quick flip mirrors? I ordered Fastway guards, but the bend is wrong where the mirrors mount so sending them back.

I want bars that clamp to handle bar mount, not to the bars.

I have the KTM PP version of that and although they fit they don’t like the sweep of the stock bars.

So, you're saying that these will fit the stock bars on the 790R? Can't say that the sweep is the best either.

It's some minutes of figur-fucking-fit-you-son-of-a-clamp out the right angle, but yes they fit ;)

They’ll go on, but where the guard bolts to the clamp on the inside of the guard won’t line up perfect. It’s not a major issue as the aluminium has enough flex to accommodate the difference, but it does cause issues when the guards hit the ground as they tend to shift into a more neutral position and have to be forced back up into position again.

In hindsight I should’ve wrapped the bars with a piece of inner tube under the bar clamp, but I’ve been too lazy to fix it.

The Cycra model you have are the CRM Ultras. I have them on my 300 and they're great. Just looking for a cleaner look for the 790.

I don’t care for the Cycra’s that mount to the top clamp. Unlike the HDB guards you cannot adjust the angle and if you run your levers angled down at all like most, they will be below the handguards.

That is exactly the problem I have with my 500 w/ the BRP mounts and the Cycras.

Yes. In general it’s not a problem until you hit it off something, then it wants to shift to a more neutral position... which in my case means they move down and I need to shove them back up. It’s not a game breaker... more of a mild irritant.

I think wrapping the bar in a bit of rubber will reduce slip by compressing and allowing the hand guard and clamp to mate better.

I want to get rid of the stock mirrors and am looking at the Rottweiler quick flip mirror mounts and see others have added them to various hand guards. Think I'll have an issue mounting them to the stock hand guards? Will they vibrate a ton with the stock guards being plastic or would it be a concern with the plastic cracking when I drop the bike?

No issue adding them. I can't comment on the vibrations as mine are installed on some Cycra units.

I mounted them on the stock handguards, they fit fine and don’t vibrate at all. However this does involve drilling two holes in the narrowest part of the guard. I’m pretty sure if I crash just right, I will break the handguard.

I ended up swapping the crm on my 350 to the 790. Hcm to the 350

I do not recommend the hcm for the 790. Crm took a bit of fiddling but went on without much fuss.
