I've got a 800GS with about 8000 KMs on the clock. I use it for a light commute to work but the rear tyre has started to square off in the middle. There is still a lot of tread left on the tyre. Do I need to be worried about the tyre squaring off or is it a normal thing?

Try taking it out on the weekends to wear down the sides. :lol2

If it came with the Battlewings, it's no great loss.

Slightly lowering the presure may help prolong the tire life a little... you'll likely notice an abrupt transition from straight to cornering also with a reduction in traction, so watch out for this.

That's a normal wear pattern for tires that don't see the twisties much. Nothing to worry about, except that you're not having enough fun on the bike :lol3

I like the Battlewings... :scratch I have TKC's on now, but the 'wings seemed pretty good on pavement and hardpack.
