Oh my god! That is so awesome of you to do that! I salute you! :clap :freaky :clap :freaky :clap :freaky :clap :freaky

My wife would be a perfect candidate, as she's finally getting back into riding after a 20+ year haitus, and I wouldn't dream of letting her back onto a bike without taking the MSF course.

Unfortunatly, we're in Florida, so we'll pass, but again, I salute you for a noble cause!!

Isn't this exactly what you were looking for, Mike? Or did you already find a small 2-wheeler for the wife?

It is; Oaktown's a bit far though. Actually, we have a different solution now but her issues in finding something appropriate to ride for a month or 3 made me think this idea would work for lots of people. :nod

from all the Lady Riders in the area. Way to go, Oakland girl!

Thanks for passing on the tradition and I hope to see that ride sometime when I ride up to the local "wall" Oakland hills moto hangout. Has it got any special stickers on it or anything?

It sure would be fun to do a documentary on the owners of the handed down bike. Is there a blog or something?

That bike started its girl to girl journey with my ex-girlfriend (about ten years back), though it was the woman she sold it to who made it a gift bike. If there are old copies or online copies of the December 2009 Urban Moto (cover photo of Jesus being dominated by a Christmas elf while strapped to a '71 BMW R75 in camo paint), Tasha Welch wrote an article about becoming the latest owner of the Mighty 440 on page 14. It's her hubby who has the Ducati. So, at this point, all the threads could still be strung together. In the photo, it looks like the left fork seal needs some attention, but otherwise, the 440 looks great! You'll know the bike if you see it because it has a flower painted on the tank....
