['82 Suzuki SP250] Probably something stupid I'm overlooking, but I can't get the front wheel off.

    Yeah, so, as usual, I'm probably being a dope, but I can't get the darn thing off.

    For those of you that don't know, the SP has a drum brake in the front and rear. Well, the rear came off just fine, the cover for the drum just slid out, ezpz.

    Get to the front and remove the axle, speedo, and then, IIRC from the last time I worked on the bike, the brake cover is just supposed to slide out and dangle from the bike, freeing the wheel.

    You should have a spacer over the opposite side of the brake.
    If you can remove that spacer after removing the shaft, you should have enough room to disconnect the finger that prevent the brake from rotating away from the fork tube and pull everything apart.
