    Between Bridgeport and Hawthorne.
Anyone been through it recently? Curious of conditions.

    This was June 2017.

Not been through recently but that is more water than I've ever seen there. Typically I've gone through there in October and it's deep-ish 1-2ft but only 10 or 20 ft across.

This is 9-Mile Raven Rd ( NF-028) ( Back way in to Bodie) Rough Creek Crossing before you get to 4 corners right?

Definitely not as much snow this year as last so i'm assuming its not as high this year. Go through there every year, the people that own the ranch are very cool & would have rescued you:1drink

Ranch sold to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation a couple years ago, 2015 I believe. Nobody has lived at the ranch since the sale and an earthquake that did extensive damage to the ranch house in 2016. Hopefully, they will rehab the house as a historical landmark. Buddy of mine lived there for several years when he worked for Hilton.

That road gets a little traffic so you probably only have to keep your head above water for an hour or so til help arrives!!!

Heheh, love this crossing. Interested to know what's it like now too.

See around the 5 min mark. This was September last year. Can't take credit for making this video, just the occasional braap.

GREAT info, Dick Allen ride has passed through there forever on the way to Bridgeport, not far from the ranch you hang a left & head up into the wonderful rock garden, then through Masonic & eventually drop down into Bridgeport for lunch, then to Bodie & back to Beautiful Hawthorne neveda via Bodie Rd. to lucky boy pass.

Weeeeelllllll, me thinks the water crossing is a non-factor anymore......

Also, as is so often the case when a conservation outfit buys a place....everything except their focus (in this case water for Walker Lake) is left to go to hell :hair

Wow, sad to see that. Was last through there July 1st 2017, water was a little deep but a non issue. Will be passing by 9 Mile again in three weeks.

Ohhh no!!! I hope I didn't jinx it by asking the question.
I'll be out there next weekend too. Looks like it will be a river crossing memorial ride.

I've been out that way many times but usually take the Bodie Creek Rd. from Bodie to Aurora then Fletcher and east on Lucky Boy Pass Rd. Is this water crossing on the main LBP road?

Not a water crossing anymore, but it is about a mile west of the big four-way intersection with East Walker Rd./Aurora/LBP.

Never happen...the Flying M Headquarters will look the same within two years of Baron Hilton dying ( he retains possession until his death) The fish folks are allowing the state to build a park at the Flying M, pending funding, so hopefully a little bit will be saved.

Booo! I know its basically a flooded well graded road, but there was always something fun about nailing that water crossing and filling boots with water at the end of a fun weekend in Nevada/Eastern Sierras. I guess I'll have to pretend to be badass somewhere else.
