An adventure bike from Harley Davidson?! Now I have seen everything. Plenty of cool builders out there that had fun with the Harley but a true factory?! View attachment 1297561

I just cannot get into the look of that bike .... It looks like .... a toaster .... on wheels? IDK, I think they need to do better than that on styling. I'm sure they can get all the mechanical things correctly, they obviously have the technology and resources to build a good bike, but that thing looks like it belongs in a cheesy horror movie or something.

Every time I look at it I think "whale shark" I can't get that image out of my head in regard to this bike.

I don't see the necessary tow hooks anywhere...perhaps you push on the headlight and a winch pops out from behind it? No, that's probably where the subwoofer is located.

Someone could make some good money with an aftermarket kit to clean up that front end!

The dual sport FB page has been runnng on all day on this topic, some funny shit. I’d say they might be a little late to the party after spending so long telling their customers they need to buy old outdated technology and image. Personally the corporate image has already made it so I would never own, let alone buy any HD.

Can't wait to see "Well if Harley has tubeless rims on their ADV, why can't..." in every speculation thread for the next five to ten years :photog...because we all know how valid comparisons with other bikes will be when lined up against this monstrosity.

I saw two of them at the wheels through time museum in Maggie valley north Carolina , the winner of the jackpiner endure from 1938 and 1939 still covered in mud , tires were looking a little poor .

I actually dig it. It's nice to see they are broadening their horizons. There may be hope for the motorco yet?

That thing will have the life expectancy of a Buell or a V-Rod. The hard core will shun it and at a time that new sales are declining it will likely end up as a curiosity. Shame really. Now if they built a hybrid or electric adventure bike with realistic range, then they might have something to boast about.

Maybe the "back against the wall posturing" will have some results other than bankruptcy.

    Good for HD!
    Better late than never.
I'm hoping to see them be successful at something drastically different than what they've been doing for decades.
About all I've seen lately has been fashion oriented, and not very substantive.
I think it could be a very exciting time to be working in the HD design department. :thumb :nod

The hardcore are dying off, HD is just transitioning to a regular moto company now like everyone else
