    Hi guys
I'm changing my fork oil on the 950 but the amount/level seems to be the worlds best kept secret! Can anybody enlighten me or do I need to know the secret hand shake. :evil
    Cheers.

Amount is not an accurate measure. Height is everything. With that said i don't know the 990's but most bikes are 100 mm. Just did my 520 and it was 100. Hope to find out for sure with you in this thread.

Old thread of course - I found it by searching for the amount of fork oil needed for a refresh. I wanted to add a comment that will hopefully be helpful to others in the future, as it was the information I was looking for but unable to find: I purchased 2 liters of fork oil and had about a half liter left over when finished with both forks. So if you're wondering how much fork oil to buy before you start, 2 liters or 2 quarts is the correct amount - then set the air gap level to 100 mm (or whatever measurement you decide).
