I have somehow bent my side stand

I am considering a repair and would appreciate another member with a 950S to take a picture and post it showing their side stand similar to the picture I posted.

KTM want $100 for a new one and if it bends because of the weight5 I have loaded out for a trip I would be really upset. I will either repair with reinforcement on this stand or make a new one out of 4130 steel.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks PeeBee, I will let all know what I end up doing. My natural bent (pun) is to make a new one out of 4130 Chrome moly and then it will be bullet proof. I just need to get some CM. I will check my suppliers.

On another note I will start another thread on bent rims. See you there.

I pulled my sidestand interlock off. The bike would stall as soon as I left the clutch out while in gear. There's three wires going down to the interlock. Two short out when the sidestand is down and two short out when the sidestand is up. I cut the interlock off the line and shorted the correct two for operation and haven't experienced any further problems. For the life of me I can remember which two I had to short. If you have a meter, you can find out fast enough.
