Currently I have the standard 2->2 pipes on my 950SE with Akra cans. The carb set up and jetting is pretty perfect, running with the dB killer inserts fitted.

I’m considering a change to 2->1. What changes (if any) do I need to make to the carb set up? Or can I just fit a 2->1 pipe and run with a single can? Or single can with dB killer removed for better flow?

    Thoughts, observations and advice please.

I did it with no changes. Jetting was okay. It tends to be a little lean from the factory for emissions but shouldn’t be an issue

Pull the inserts and give it a rip.
On my 990 when i had the 2-1 to me the butt dyno liked it with inserts out, throttle just felt better... Just kinda makes sense pushing 2 lumps into 1... i think.
I know not a carbed bike but i didnt have the 02s in the loop.

What collector 2 into 1 are you using?

I used a modified stock exhaust on my 950Adv. My Brother Had a welding shop cut the pipe. Rotate it and weld it. Works great.

I simply bought another pipe from KTM and got it modified at the local welding shop. That way I can run my normal 2->2 set-up or a 2->1 with just a few minutes work to change them over.

The real reason I’m looking at a single-side can is so I am able to fit a Rottweiler Endurocell supplementary fuel tank on the left side. The 950SE ideally needs longer legs if you want to take it places.

It will run richer in the mid and top end. I have the Rotti set up with Yoshi pipe.
Just bought Alon’s air filter kit so will sort the jetting after install
