    Yep.

Going to ride my KE 100 from Fl to AK.

Charity ride for a cancer patient and the Special Olympics.

Do not have specifics right now but putting it out here for HELP and SUPPORT.

I expect to get some great support here. I have done a 50CC and a UCC both on a 91 Goldwing.

Radio stations and local news tv channels along the way may like to do an interview and shoot some footage. Could use that as on going support with a pay pal account. There are also fund me sights. Get ahold of NARC, national association of retarded citizens. They could possibly point you in a good direction.

Start a thread with a trip report. PM me the link. I'm in. :lurk

I am relieved (as is my wife) that the first response was positive.

    Wow...respect!

I had a KE125 and I thought that thing was buzzy as hell on the 5 times I took it to 45 mph haha

Good luck with the ride though. Better get used to the noisy little motor and your arms going numb :D

Have you done anything to the bike to make it marginally better for a long trip?

Well, we are NOT going to change the CC's of the engine. It's going to remain 99cc's.

We are going to have the head ported and try a larger carburetor.

The seat needs some attention since it is basically now something akin to a hard loaf of bread with a vinyl cover.

Aerodynamics... Tires..... will be looked at after the head gets back and we can see if the speed is there. We are hoping for a steady 65mph with "less" than full throttle.

The "we" is myself and Stan, who has taken this on as a mechanical challenge.

Channel your inner Gump, man. I'm not here to stop you from living your dreams.

If for some reason you come through Kentucky, you're welcome to crash here.

As for the threads, the Mods seem to have placed it appropriately, though I'm not sure where it was before.

Well, doesn't really matter. I was just hoping for some good advice. If the Mods want to put it up here in the "Americas" section so be it. I guess they think its a pipe dream ride.

I don't understand why some threads are down where peeps see them and others are hidden up here.

    Oh, well.

If you look here it will answer that question.

Also What makes you think no one sees it here?

Don't let anyone poo-poo your idea. I think unusual type trips are the best.

I don't see it listed, but maybe contact http://www.seatconcepts.com/ and see if they can help with your butt problem.

Best of luck! Obviously a trip report and/or pictures are expected. :D

I had a KE100... thought the stock seat was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever ridden! My seat was like-new when I bought it, though.
Good luck on the ride... that's pretty ambitious!

This is great. I'm planning a trip from Halifax, NS to Los Angeles, CA on a CBR125r. Thanks for keeping me from feeling alone in all of this!

Glad to see that you are still planning on going forward with this trip. Looking forward to the updates.

My trip is still planned, hoping to get it done sometime next summer.

I understand. I fly 737's and sometimes fly over the same roads that I have driven on my bike. I remember being on the road and it amazes me how much faster the plane is and how boring.

I am still in the planning stages and look forward to keeping you informed. Planned for June, which is going to come up fast.

Thank you for the advice a few months ago.
