@richo360, are you a bit of a KTM fan? I hadn't picked up on it before.

I hear your pain. My brain writes cheques that my body can't cash. I have enough unfinished and not started projects to keep me going until I'm 200.
Someone once told me that the first ten minutes are the hardest after that your into it. So true.

One of my problems is getting stuck into a bike and pulling up short due to needing a part so start the next one while I'm on a roll. By the time the parts come for all four bikes I pulled apart I've started building a room extension, concreting a driveway, fixing the slasher, cutting down a tree etc. etc.

Now I'm sitting here stalling to go out and finish boxing a slab and clearing out for a carport. But I did put a new stator in the Berg.

    I hear you.... but.
18 months ago I sold the rural property, and have sat back and rented since. Zero maintenance, which is what I needed after years of fixing fences, watering sytems, gates, mowing and slashing etc
All that doing no maintenance work in other areas of my life has rubbed off on my bikes... sort of.
I got busy and completed the list on the SE on Saturday, only cos Im (reluctantly/half heartedly) selling it.
Actually got the 660 99% done too, will finish it tonight.
450 next one on the list as a ride is coming up.

It sounds as though you are on the right path, cutting back on the number of projects / commitements / work load.
Sounds easy but I know that getting started can be hard, over whelming even.
Small steps, as somebody said, look for an easy win, one win, and then another.

Celebrate your succses. Something I hadnt done for a LONG time, though I feel it is not really in my upbringing. Sure, we talked about them, but they were not a surprise that we had a succses in what ever we were doing on the farm because it was all planned and worked out.
I have tried to change that recently. I re-assmebled my 1100S, it runs fine, needs the final drive pivot bearings replacing, buts its going ok at the moment, all as planned.
Didnt stop me putting some pictures up on Facebook and telling a few friends what I have done.
If you dont feel like celebraing succses, do similar, but take it as confirmation that you did follow a project or task through to completion.

Talking about completion and succses, do you know hwat they are?
have you written them down? have you told a few significatnt people?
that way you have commited to doing something and if those significant people care, they will enquire about it and see how your progress is.
Oh, you need t time line / date for doing it as well.

    An then commit to it.
Once you have said it and got this far, you are in to.
Scared about this much? make is smaller and Manageble.

    Last two things:-
    SMART
    Specific
    Measurable
    Acheivable
    Realistic
    Timely

    and,

Its like eating an Elephant, start at the tail.

Daylight savings and the warmer weather is here, and I'm part way through a 5 day weekend.
I looked at my bikes yesterday...
Actually, the SE and 660 are done. The 450 has been serviced been ridden, and will be again this Saturday.
The 690 engine cover is replaced, but the battery has carked it. Off too the shop I go...
And I've got another 690 engine here with a bit of a build in mind...

And the 505..... its done a starting decomp actuator that runs off the cam, and caused all sorts of carnage. Damn. Ktm oz don't have bits in stock ( there was only 36 505s brought into the country in 08 and 09) so it looks like I'm shopping online at KTM Twins and having to wait.... engine has only been out of it for about a year so far.
