So far, with my KTM 790, that isn't working out so great. Reading the number of posts with people having break issues, warped rotors, locking front wheels and warranty being rejected it isn't working out great for them also. Discs shouldn't need replacing more frequently than the 15,000km oil changes! Last KTM i'm going to own.

Once my issues are finally resolved under warranty the thing is being sold/traded ASAP and I'm likely to take a massive loss on it.

PLEASE, PLEASE let this be true.

And don't make me wait 2 years for it.

For fuck's sake just build it, you know you can, you've got all the parts on the shelf, you just need to put the jigsaw together, IT'S NOT THAT FUCK'N HARD!!!

    FUCK!!!!

Whew! I'm glad I got that of my chest, I feel better now.

Sounds just like some of the problems I had with my Kawasaki Vesys 1000, KTM are not the only company to have problems.

If you look closely the majority of riders sit off to one side, usually the side that they last put their foot down at a set of lights.

This is it in a nutshell.^^^^
A modern version of the 640ADV.
Yes, from a business model stand point, it would probably not be very profitable compared to all the aircraft carrier land barges on the market.
    I get that.
But, a small production run every year, call it a limited edition to satisfy the accounts ponytails if you want, KTM have done it before and are currently doing it with the WSS Replica EXC's. So there is a market for it.
As the famous saying goes, "Build it and they will come".
I've got my local dealer on speed dial for if/when it ever happens.:ricky

Suspension looks crappy, swingarm looks a bit short, but style-wise and intent are right up there (at least from that low-res video.).

    Time will tell.

Naaah... jump on them I reckon... since about ten years ago, there is never an optimal time to jump on the orange merry go-round... as they spit new models out faster than a Mt Druitt family on welfare... :augie

I mean realistically, the 890's won't materialize in Oz much before March/April 2021 anyway... by which time Matighofen will have announced rumors of the latest incarnation of the Pierer-venturer series (a 990 maybe...? :dunno The pony tails can name it the "Dejavu" edition :lol3), so that the five minutes late to the party 890 purchasers can feel redundant and indignant as well... :1drink

    Unfortunately not going to happen...
Easier to get a replica from the Chinese these days (pictured)

I am puzzled as to what KTM will do when they go, 390 ADv, 490 Adv and then 690 Adv. Will the enduro continue its lifecycle?
Make no mistake @troy safari carpente , this is the SUV segment (car equivalent if you catch my drift), and the orange squadron will capitalise on that. I see Audi is having from Q1 to Q8 (9?) . Same same KTM. Adventure 290 to 1290 :deal . Business as usual...
