Who is going to the open house at A&S this weekend? I'll probably hit the Western Coffeecup early on that morning with the RCB crew and then ride in to check out the Vintage Bikes show and check out the deals. Who else is going?

Dino told me about it and I think that I (and Passmore Wife) may make it out as well...

Could you post the details of the open house? I missed the one at CycleSpecialties. The Placerville tech day was the same day. I might run up from Modesto to Sacramento if the timing works out.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Here's what it says on the A&S website:

The "We Can't Wait 'Till Christmas" Open House and Vintage Motorcycle Show
    Date: Sat. November 13th - 9:00AM to 5:00PM
Free Holiday style meal, door prizes, Vintage and antique motorcycle show, D.J. Greg Dills, Test Rides. If you or someone you know has a vintage motorcycle that should be in our show, let us know and we'll tell you how!

A lot of the RCB guys (I guess that includes me) often go up to WCP for breakfast and then putter over to A&S for more breakfast (second breakfast?) and eventually some of the food they serve up at the Open House. They typically serve turkey and trimmings (yum!) but BBQ would be equally tasty!

Excellent! Should be a good turnout. Hey what time do the folks normally arrive at WCP? I got there once at like 7:30am and everyone was leaving! Gonna have to go to bed pretty early to make that. :)

I'm eying a set of PIAA 510s their paper said was on sale... mmmmm lighting...

oh yes their web site is http://www.ascycles.com for directions/phone... etc.

The RCB crew is a bunch of old farts that go to bed at 8:00pm and get up at 4:30am. :D I've gotten there as early at 6:30 and not been the first one. The only time I go there is if I need to go to A&S on saturday. Since A&S doesn't open till 9:00 I don't figure I need to be at WCP before 7:00am. If every one was leaving at 7:30 there must have been a ride going on. Anyway I'm planning on being there at 7:00 and I'll hang until 8:30 or so. See you there.

So, in summary, does that mean it takes the old pharts 1/1/2 hours to ride 5 miles from breakfast to A&S?

    :rofl :rofl :rofl
They must go the long way. But they're cool old pharts you know. I'm with Techfiend on the early morning thing. I stopped in at 8:00am one morning figuring I could have breakfast in an hour and get to A&S by 9:20 or so. Cripes they were all gone by 8:15. I was by myself! Then I get to A&S and and see the same crew eating doughnuts and drinking coffee. I'm not a fan of early morning stuff but I'll do it if I have to.

Yeah, L2L probably knows--he had to put up with a few of us for a week or so this summer :evil

Most Saturdays it is just a varying group that gets together at WCP, so the timing varies. First Saturday, it's a bit more organized and folk are there till +/- 9am. Besides, the early bird gets the donut!!!

Yep, some of those RCB guys break fast wind. Best to just try to stay ahead of the ol' pharts!

:eek1 Now if you're gonna make comments like that, we're gonna have to move this over to Jo Momma and ask for you to post pics (not of you!!!).

The visual I get based on your avatar photo is just too much for this old fart to deal with... :lol3 :lol3 :lol3

You lost me. Old bikes, free food, hanging with some other ADVriders. Doesn't sound at all painful to me.

Oh, sorry, it's just that there's a painful association between A&S and the extraction of large sums of money from my wallet. :rofl
