I'm South African living in Cape Town and thanks to ADV riding, I'm starting to see and appreciate my own country.

This is my first weekend trip and also first with my wife who loves with me which is awesome.

We were headed for a friend's wedding which was on Saturday so we decided to leave on Thursday mid-morning, have lunch in Tulbagh then head towards Cedeberg Oasis, turn left to go through Nieuwoudts Pass or keep straight towards Clanwilliam and finally towards Biedouw Rivier to sleep over at Enjo Nature Farm.

Nice! I've had the great pleasure to ride the Western Cape on a few occasions and it is just one of my favorite places to explore. I remember making my way up to Lambert's Bay on one of those trips.

I'm jealous lol. I live close to Johannesburg, but my heart lives in Cape Town. I so want to travel in Cape Town and WC by motorcycle. By the way, love your soft panniers.

Love the photos of smiles and "jumping for joy"! Great ride and thank you for taking us along, seeing reports like this from places around the World I likely will not be able to visit are what makes this site so addictive.

    Safe travels, Cheers!!

My nephew a fellow Getty Image Photographer who travels to Cape Town twice a year from the US, says great things about your country. Would love to ride their someday. Thanks for sharing your ride report. Alot of the scenery reminds me of West Texas. Except for the ocean.... but we do have the Gulf Coast in Texas. Part of the Atlantic Ocean.
