we've been dating for a while now
it's a hell of a love
i think it's about time, somebody told her
Nobody cares what you ride, and I mean that in the good way :)
The weather was astoundingly good, with just one rainstorm on I think it was Thursday afternoon/evening for about an hour. Temps maxed out in the high 70s to mid 80s. I rode out from Virginia and had a great ride, only got rained on once in Wyoming and the rest of the time I was riding between the heat wave moving out of the west and the storms moving east across the Great Plains and into the eastern states. I don't think I saw heat above 90 the whole three-plus weeks I was gone.
Some vendors backed out, others who thought they weren't going to be able to make it showed up. I think the vendors did pretty great considering we're coming off the weirdest year ever for events. I don't have any ill will towards any who bailed, just like I don't have any ill will towards the folks who decided not to come. I've been vaccinated and I had COVID anyway, so I didn't worry too much about getting infected (again), but there are lots of reasons out there why people stayed away.
Final count was 4,889, which included about 700 or so walk-ups and day passes. Most folks registered ahead of time this year, I'm guessing because riding to Great Falls, Montana, is not something one does on a whim.
See y'all geezers next year in Springfield, Missouri! (16-18 June 2022)
Ha I sent my wife a short video and she asked if I was visiting a retirement center
Had a good time volunteering but a long ride from Utah
Come on now… no love for Crawdaddy?
